Summary: A girl, Hitomi, is summoned by the mystic moon to a strange world where she is told she is the wing goddess. She alone has the power to summon a great big....machine, I think, called Escaflowne. (It is referred to as both the god of war and the god of the sky). Escaflowne, when summoned will either destroy the world or save it from the evil Lord Folkan and the Black Dragon clan, which is terrorizing the world. BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! A secondary storyline includes Van and Lord Folkan, his brother, are fighting over the throne.
