Don�t get me wrong, what happened to the slaves during the Civil War was horrible and it never should have happened but that doesn�t change the fact that it did happen. These people want to have everything changed so that there is never anything to remind them of the atrocities that happened back then. I think maybe they could learn a lesson from the Jews. Do you hear about them wanting the Holocaust Museum shut down? Last I heard they didn�t have a problem with it even though it reminds everybody including them of the terrors of Hitler�s genocidal efforts. Maybe Memphis should rename itself so as not to remind them of their captivity thousands of years ago in Egypt. While we're at it let's get rid of the Memphis Pyramid since we all know the Jewish slaves built the great pyramids. But wait, the Jews aren't vindictive little brats and they learned to get over it. Oddly enough, I haven�t heard one of these black leaders complain about the National Civil Rights museum existing even though it also displays the suffering they went through in the Civil War. Oh that's right, that's because the blacks built the museum. Then they argue that the parks were named when blacks didn't have a say in it. Women didn't used to be able to vote, so do we rewrite everything that happened that women weren't involved in?
What ticks me off more than anything is the fact that the black community here in the South (I can�t really vouch for the rest of the country) is that they want so badly to be treated fairly and equally and yet if something doesn�t go quite the way they want it to they blame it on racism and the next thing you know the Reverend Jesse Jackass (no that isn't a typo) is knocking on your door with a class-action law suit. How do they expect to be taken seriously when they pitch a fit about every little thing that offends them. I heard of a story where a woman on an airplane overheard the word "nigger" being used and she was so traumatized by that that she was bedridden for a week. Apparently the oppressed spirits of her ancestors came down (or up) and let her feel just how much that word offended them when they were slaves so that she could appreciate her freedom better or so she could get publicity for being a whiny individual that never learned how to get over anything that offended her. How can anyone be so stupid and so easily offended that their psyche is apparently destroyed from one stupid word? The concept completely fails to register with me. I've been called ethnic slurs for being white before and do you know what my response is? Nothing. I don't give a crap what anybody says about my race. Who cares!? But this lady is apparently so hung up on racism and how her ancestors were mistreated that when she heard someone use "the N-word" (it's not a swear word you stupid, stupid people because it's an ethnic slur on the same level as cracker, spic, jap, gook, nip, dego, polock, etc.) she had a mental break down. People like that need to be shot in the face with a bazooka. Why are these people so stupid? They hate Confederate park because it mentions �confederate� and they hate the park which honors Nathan Bedford Forrest because he started the Ku-Klux-Klan. What they fail to realize though is that the Klan was never intended to be what it is today. The Klan was originally founded to maintain order after the Civil War since there really wasn�t any order. Then some douche-bag gained power and now you have a bunch of skin head neo-nazi�s who worship the Klan and join because they �want to go kill them some niggers� (notice the way they speak. That should clue you in as to the idiots that join the Klan.) The point is the Klan is not what it used to be. In no way do I support the Klan but to vilify the founder, to try and rename the park because his successors corrupted the purpose of the organization, all because your too lazy and ignorant to learn about its history is ridiculous.
Here is my advice for the black people here in the south (and obviously I�m not including the respectable ones that don�t gripe about everything and actually behave in a way which is worthy respect): GROW UP!!! The world does not revolve around you and your ancestor�s sufferings. Every nationality in some way or the other has had horrible things happen to their ancestors, you are not special so quit acting like it. Also quit raising your kids to be hyper-sensitive to anything relating to slavery. The sooner they get over it, the sooner they can go on to be decent human beings who don�t complain about everything. And lastly, quit obsessing over your cultural identity. By this I mean quit speaking Ebonics and speak proper English. Enunciate. If you people can do that, then the rest of the country will take you seriously without you having to call your babysitter (a.k.a the N.A.A.C.P.) to fight your battles for you. Another way to be taken seriously is to quit living like the stereotypes on BET. Next, make your kids learn some responsibility instead of letting them grow up thinking that being a "player" is great and that sleeping around and shacking up is alright (this goes for everyone not just you). Grow up and take some responsibility for yourself. The government owes you nothing and you will never get reparations because nobody cares but you. If you can make something of yourself without having to resort to blaming racism then you will be better because of it and so will your children and then you won't have to worry about getting help from the government. After all, isn't that what you really want?
