OLYMPIC GAMES
On May 21-25, 2008, MAGCOCIFA travelled to Tubod, Lanao del
Norte to join the other teams from Mindanao in the Philippine
Olympic Festival.
Game one (1), we played against North Cotabato Football
Association. The lost in this game 3-2. Scorer: Michael Pantojan
and Jhon Rey Campilan
Game two (2), Misamis Oriental punished MAGCOCIFA, 2-1. The
second lost of the team. Scorer: Jhon Rey Campilan
Game three (3), we managed to beat Butuan, 2-0. Scorer: Michael
Pantojan and Jhon Rey Campilan.
GUMASA
BEACH SOCCER
MAGCOCIFA Join the Beach Futbol at Gumasa, Glan, Sarangani on
May 17-19, 2008. Teams were grouped into three (3). Each group
has three(3) teams. MAGCOCIFA beat the two (2) teams in Group 3
and join the other teams in the Quarterfinal skirmesh. The team
landed on the fourth (4th) place.
MAGCOCIFA showed the composure needed to finish the AIRFORCE CUP
on top.
Aldinn Tiboron,
the tournament MVP scored one (1) goal to send the game to
penalty shootout. Only Abdul Mamadali and Nur Mentang
scored in the shootout but Jeffrey Albon provided the good
timing and good anticipation to save three (3) penalty kicks and
end the dream of MSU Noventas to become Champion.
Three players
opted not to join the team in the finals. Alonto Datucan
and Jobair Arap is not practicing with the team anymore while
Edmeril Walohan is now practicing with Mapua.

MAGCOCIFA survived the grueling 90
minutes battle of strategies and patience inside the pitch to
bring ND 90 to its knees via Aldinn Tiboron's (in picture) penalty kick. The
win opens the door to the FINALS against MSU pride, the MSU
Noventas this Saturday, May 10, 2008.
On the other
Semi-final game. AUB-Polomolok walked out as loser of
their match against MSU Noventas. MSU scored three
goalswhile AUB didn't able to find its target.

MAGCOCIFA added another win as they
beat the respectable ASIAN UNITED BANK - POLOMOLOK. Abdul
scored one (1) goal while Edd added two (2) goals to ensure the
win.
The players are
now practicing for their next game against NOVENTAS MSU 91 this
saturday!
After a very frustrating games in the
recently concluded Cotabato Regional Athletic Meet (CRAA)
MAGCOCIFA is back. Aldinn Tiboron (who missed the CRAA)
scored two(2) goals to frustrate the players from Sarangani
Province. MAGCOCIFA never conceeded any goal in this game.

Team salvaged the 4th place in the recently concluded Cotabato
Regional Athletic Association meet in Sultan Kudarat. Ten
players from Cotabato City Rojas Football Club and one player
from CCNHS Main FC tried their very best.
