FUNCTION

The Municipal Agriculturist

1. Formulate measures for the approval of the sanggunian and provide technical assistance to the mayor in carrying out said measures to ensure the delivery of basic services and provision of the adequate facilities related to agricultural services as provided for under Section 17 of the 1991 Local Government Code.
2. Development plans and strategies and upon approval thereof by the Mayor implement the same, particulary those who has to do with agricultural programs and projects with the Mayor is empowered to implement and which the sanggunian is empowered to provide for under this code.
3. In addition to the foregoing duties and functions the agricultural shall:
a.) Be in the fronline of the delivery of the basic agriculture services, particularly those needed for inhabitants during and in the aftermath of man made and natural disaster abd calamities.
b.) Recommended to sanggunian and advise the governor or mayor, as the case, may be, on all other matterials related to agriculture which will include the livelihood and living conditions of the inhabitants.
c.) Exercise such other powers and perform such other duties and functions as may be prescribe by laws or ordinance.
