Everyone has an interesting story to tell.
it is just proper that all people should have their stories recorded for the future Generation to know what those stories are.
This is Our Love Story.
A love Story

Somehow, somewhere, one way or the other there is
truth in the saying that “God has someone special in store for you” no matter
what and wherever you are in this part of the universe. Nevertheless, God will
always send somebody to play one of the lead roles to make the plan possible.
Technology has been so powerful – it
played a major part to make two people meet, though they were
thousands of miles and several seas apart.
Sometime in December of 1997 or so, my cousin who is
living in Miami, Florida invited me to visit the Concepcion Tarlac Homepage and
told me to sign up for the email directory. So I did. I was so happy to see
familiar places and faces.
I was amazed to see that there is this wonderful
site developed and initiated by an unselfish individual, intended for his
kabalens who are scattered all over the world. A place they now call
home, a place where they really belong and where they can feel at home – a
place they can also can recall past memories and meet long lost friends and
relatives. The homepage allowed me to see some friends and relatives and began
communicating with them.
From then on, I was a regular visitor of the site. I
personally enjoyed the guestbook and every time I visited I made sure that I
first viewed the guestbook. I really enjoyed reading those messages from our
kabalens from different parts of the world. My officemates would even
teased meon why I always go to that site. I just enjoyed visiting it and am so
proud that a small town like ours can use such technology.
I was then living in Manila and once in a while I'd
visit Concepcion. I feel for those who can't find time to go back home. But
thanks to the internet, now they can rely on something even from afar and go on
with their lives as if home is just a mouse click away.
Until January 1998 I got this email message from
this person that I've never seen or met in my entire life. The family name was
so familiar though, so I answered it back. He told me that he got my name from
the CTH email directory. Well, the initial message was so simple: he was just
asking for some people from our barrio and, of course, little place as ours, I
would definitely know all the people living there. A nice alibi, should I say.
The exchange of messages continued from simple
messages to long messages and from long messages to phone calls. What was
ironic was, he used to frequently visit our village. According to him he had
some closed friends who happened to be my acquaintances, too. Much more,
he was a friend of my cousin. But destiny pervades, we did not cross each
others path then. As a result, courtship ensued. Then we began to feel that we
really belong to each other.
From everyday phone calls to a personal meeting, it
happened last December 4, 1998 when we finally met. He went back to the
Philippines to see me personally. He stayed for almost 1½ months. Our meeting
made us really feel special towards one another.
What made our communication open after the meeting?
Emails, phone calls, cards…. Thanks to this modern technology called the
internet. Now we live as if everyday we are closer together.
Today (January 6, 2000), as I write this message, I
am here in the States for a two-month long vacation, with him, of course.
So far, everything is going as planned. What’s the
next episode? We are leaving it to your imagination. We'll keep you posted
though.
Finally, we would like to thank Mr. Blandino Go for
his selfless dedication in developing and maintaining this site. If not from
this site, we won't find each other. We truly appreciate his efforts and for
being a part in making our happy union possible.
