"It's your loss, Ezra," you say.  "You sure you don't want your 30%?"

Ezra studies the bags of money in your hands and snatches the bag with the most money from you.

You stare wide-eyed at him.  "That's my portion.  Give it back."

Ezra shakes his head.  "I'm putting this money back in the bank.  Just go before I take that bag too," he says, nodding to the other bag still in your possession.

You back away and get on your horse, never taking your eyes off of Ezra.  You kick your horse into a gallop and ride away.

I could've done better, you think as you leave the town of Four Corners forever, but a little is better than nothing.
