For the first time in your life, you consider the hazard of staying in this town.  Taking one last, pensive look at the bank, you get on your horse and ride out of town.  As you leave, you feel as if you're being watched.  It makes you uneasy, so you nudge your horse to go faster.

Soon, the town of Four Corners is just a spot in the distance, and you congratulate yourself for making the right decision.  You feel like if you stayed in town, you wouldn't have been free much longer.  You stop your horse for a minute to admire the scenery.  The land seems to go on forever.  Wildflowers and shrubs line the trail, and small animals scurry back and forth in the undergrowth.  A slight breeze glides over the prairie and caresses your face.  You inhale deeply and fill your lungs with the cool scent of pine trees.

The sound of horses draws you out of your reverie.  You turn your head and see seven men riding fast in your direction.  "Dammit!" you whisper as you kick your horse into a fast gallop.  You turn your head again and notice the men are about twenty feet behind you.  If you keep going at this pace, you know they won't catch up with you.

Up ahead, you see the trail turns to the left.  You think that if you go right, where the landscape looks a bit rougher, the men won't follow you.  But it would be safter for both you and your horse if you continue on the trail.
