It's hard to see the people in this picture, but I thought the background would be the area of most interest. This was December 1954, our first Christmas in Indian Creek. The yards outside were nothing but frozen mud. The green pickup in the background was the Levitt and Sons company truck my Dad drove to work.

The Hollenczer kids in the picture are Margaret, Janice and Steven.

This was Christmas, 1955.  My Dad made the angel and candle decorations  from wood, and my Mom painted them.

The picture at left was also taken on Christmas, 1954. My father loved taking pictures of us poking our heads between the panels of the  original knotty pine stairway. Janice is at top, holding her new doll. Mag is in the middle, hiding her face, and Steve is in shadow at the bottom.
