Chapter 7 (The House of the Rising Sun)
By 10 o'clock we were ready to make it back to the Legends show.
The Imperial palace made a huge error by giving the Donnie and Marie
impersonators the night off. They must have lost a lot of Mormon business. The
show was incredible, The Rod Steward impersonator was dead on, so were the Four
Tops, and so were the Kiss impersonators. They introduced the Kiss impersonators: Playing
the role of Gene Simmons: Gene Simmons , Ace Frenley, Ace Freely Paul Stanley:
Paul Stanley, and playing the Part of Peter Kriss, Peter Kriss. Apparently the
Psycho Circus Tour had not gone that well. Next was the Garth Brooks
impersonator. The Skit Kickers must of loved him, they shot there six shooters
up in the air with glee as he sang "Thunder Rolls". Now it was time
for the highlight of the show. First the Michael Jackson imitator came out. But
right in the middle of "Billy Jean". The Elvis Imitator came out and
beat the Crap out of him for even touching his daughter. They the Elvis imitator
came out to do his bit. He was still covered in blood and clown makeup. We were
in luck, it was the old fat Elvis, not the young one. This meant
"Suspicious minds", "Viva Las Vegas" Jump suits, pill
pooping, god fat Elvis. This was the Las Vegas we dreamed about. It was the Las
Vegas that Lefty Rothenthal dreamed about. Revolutionizing Vegas until it became
the entertainment capital of the world. Where families could stay in comfort,
while dad dropped the kids college funds on the slots. This was it, the
combination of all the teamster loans and junk bonds. But some where Vegas had
lost its way, and the people who had bought into the vision were now left with
just Lefty's vision. But Lefty had Las Vegas long ago....
