Types of Guns There are a wide variety of airsoft guns. There is everything from handguns to shotguns and all kinds of rifles. The cheapest guns are the spring single shot guns. You must pull the slide back everytime you shoot these guns. They are a good way to start playing but are no match for the more expenseve AEG's(automatic electric guns). Next in line are Gas blow back guns(GBB). These are mostly handguns and run on compressed gas. They are mostly semi automatic, but there are some such as the G18c that have a full auto function also. They have higher velocities that springers, but are still not as good as AEG's. Last in line are the AEG's. These weapons are full auto. They are mostly assault rifles. They are the most expensive and the best. They are very upgradeable and customizable. They are by far the best type of airsoft gun. Most players use AEG's as their main gun and some have a gas or spring as a side arm.
