The Phyrgian scale.

The easiest way to use this is to begin in the key of E.
Starting from E, play the C major scale.

You may notice that this has a slightly Spanish feel to it; 
it is often used in traditional spanish songs. 
The flattened 2nd note (the F) in particular stands out.




The Phrygian Dominant Scale.
============================


This scale is slightly different from the normal Phrygian, 
but has quite a different distinctive sound. 
Again, to play this in E, play the normal scale as above,
but play G# instead of natural G.
