Summary: Als ein alter Freund von Sindbad stirbt, rät er ihm eine Frau zu suchen mit deren Hilfe er das finden wird wonach er sucht. Durch Zufall begegnet er ihr und alles, was die Crew über dieses Mädchen
erfährt, ist dass sie eine seltsame Verbindung zu Maeve hat. Sie bleibt der Crew verschlossen, da sie aber in Sindbads Schuld steht ist sie bereit ihm zu helfen als seine Freunde festgenommen und verschleppt werden.

Sinbad stood at the rail beside Firouz and watched on the shiny horizon. “We had a great week” the captain said. “This journey was a real relaxation.”

Now, the crew was on the way to Baghdad.  “We are near Basip now” Firouz said. “It will take one day to get to Baghdad.”

“No! We will stop in Basip. Take course on the coast.”

Doubar went to Sinbad and asked surprised: “Little Brother, what do you do?”

“We will visit an old friend of Dim Dim. Jelvor. I heard he is seriously ill. I only want to take a look on him.”

“Little Brother, do you know, your short detours always end in disaster!"

On the way to the village, Bryn asked Sinbad about Jelvor.  “When I was very young, he sometimes visited Dim Dim. They were very good friends.”

“Is he a magician like Dim Dim?”

“Dim Dim never told me. And Jelvor said, it's better not to use magic. But I'm sure he is someone special.”

The village was near the beach, and when they arrived Jelvor's house, an old women opened the door.  “Good morning! My name is Sinbad and that's my crew. I'm a friend of  Dim Dim. I want to visit Jelvor.”

The women nodded and let them in. For a moment she went in an other room and when she came out she asked Sinbad to go in. Jelvor laid in a bed. He was to weak to move, when Sinbad entered the room. Firouz immediately wanted to help him, but he rejected him. Dermott sat down very close to him and Jelvor welcomed him with a smile. Then he pleased Sinbad to set down next to him. The crew stood in the background.

“It's nice to see you Sinbad. It's a very long time ago. You chose the right way.”  He stopped for a while. “Sinbad, I know what you are looking for. You have to go a long, hard way.”

Sinbad was very surprised. “Jelvor, what do you mean?”

“I know you are searching night and day. You wanna keep your promises. It's very hard. Maybe you can make it.”

Then Jelvor became weaker with every minute. The last thing he could said was:  “Find Taim, Sinbad! And together you will come closer to your aim.”

Then he died.

Whilst Doubar, Rongar and Firouz waited on the boat, Sinbad sat at the beach together with Bryn.  “You are thinking about Jelvor.  Aren't you?”

“I can't forget his words. What did he mean?”

“Maybe you know it deep in you,” Bryn answered. “When you find this woman, you will find out.”

Later, they continued their journey and the very next day, they arrived in Baghdad. At the harbor, Firouz and Rongar should bring new food supplies on board, while Doubar and Bryn went through the town. Sinbad walked alone. He really enjoyed it, to be in Baghdad. He forgot all sorrows and was really happy, since he saw a woman.

She wear a brown coat and he recognized even a sword. She looked at the ocean as if she dreamed and just for a moment Sinbad believed to see Maeve. But this illusion disappeared. He was still muddled up and whispered her name. The woman stood near enough to hear what he said and now she looked at him with the same pain he felt right now. But in this moment, some men came, which looked like seamen. They run after the woman and Sinbad understood, that she might was in trouble and he followed them to the beach. The men caught and threatened her.

Sinbad walked to them and said:  “Guys, it's not very fine to treat a lady in this way.”

One of three men pulled his sword an attacked him. But Sinbad was to clever and quick and pushed him away. The second attacked him and he was much stronger. Now, the women pulled her sword and defended herself. Finally, the tree guys laid on the ground and when they came up again, Sinbad asked:  “What do you want from her?”

“She owes us something,” One guy said.

“We gave her a lift from Asar till Baghdad but she didn´t pay!”

“Don't you understand fools?”  the women said mocking. “I have no money!”

Sinbad gave them some gold coins to finish the trouble and the men went away. He turned to the woman and said:  “Now you owe me something,” he  joked. But she hit him and he felt down.

“I knew there must be something wrong. Nobody would help a stranger, when there is nothing he would get.”

“No, surely not. My name is Sinbad.”

Now the woman laughed and put her sword away. Sinbad stood up slowly and asked:  “What's so funny?”

“I had another imagination of Sinbad. In a way bigger and stronger.”

“In a way I hear this very often,” he joked.

She passed him her hand and said:  “Thank you, and I really owe you something.”

Suddenly Sinbad saw Dermott flying to this woman. Sinbad  was very amazed when she called his name and let him take place on her arm. She stroked his chest and what else Sinbad  realized, was that Dermott seemed to be the old again since Maeve disappeared.

But Sinbad had no chance to ask her about, cause Doubar and Bryn came to him. They were surprised too, about the relation of Dermott and Sinbad. The woman looked eagerly around and asked the crew:  “Where is the companion of this hawk?”

Bryn came closer and said:  “That's me. My name is Bryn.”

Suddenly, she pulled her sword again and turned to Sinbad.

“Where is the companion of Dermott,” she repeated. “You whispered her name. Why do you know her?”

She looked at Dermott still sitting on her arm. `Cause he was quiet, she also calmed down and let her sword sank down. Sinbad looked at Bryn and waited for her approval before he began to say:  “You mean Maeve?”

Hopefully she looked at him.

“She is a very good friend. She is a member of our crew. We are on searching for her. We know she is save at a very good friend.”

Sinbad remain silent, because he saw that she tried to restrained her sadness. Doubar broke the silence.  “Why do you know about Maeve?”

She couldn't take her eyes of Dermott and said quietly:  “I'm a very good friend of her.”

That was everything she said. “And what's your name?” Bryn wanted to know.

The woman let Dermott fly and watch him flying over the sea and she said: “I'm Taim.”

At midday, the crew wanted to go in an inn. Before they went there, Sinbad wanted to ask Taim to join them. The crew was really surprised about this woman, especially Sinbad and Bryn. Sinbad asked her:  “Do you know where Taim is?”

“She walked along the beach. Dermott is in her near.”

“She is very mysterious,” he said.

“Yes, but there is something else,” Bryn answered. “I can't tell what it is, but there is deep sadness and a kind of darkness I feel.”

Sinbad laid his hand on her shoulder.

“Go in the inn with the others. I will come as soon as possible.”

She nodded and walked away.

Taim sat on a rock at the beach and next to her sat Dermott. When Sinbad saw her together with Dermott, he remembered Maeve again. It was more than one year ago since she disappeared and he knew neither if everything was all right with her, nor where or when he could ever find her.

Now he understood, that Jelvor meant the promise he gave Maeve; to free Dim Dim, to defeat Rumina and to protect Maeve from every pain.  And since a very long time, he felt his aim very close. He knew that Taim and Maeve had a very strong connection, even he knew nothing about their past and nothing about Taim. He just felt it.

Doubar couldn't await it to get a beer and he pounced high spirited in the inn. He sat down at the bar with Rongar.  “We should take care of them, or they'll lay under the table before sunset,” Firouz said to Bryn.

Scarcely they held their beer in their hands, when  group od soldiers came in the inn and surrounded them. Doubar was a little bit angry.

“What's a matter? I wanna drink my beer in peace and quiet!”

One of the men laughed and said:  “Oh, I'm so sorry if I disturb you, but you are under arrest!”

The crew was shocked.  “But why?” Firouz asked.

“Don't be foolish! We know that you are pirates!”

Some of the soldiers came closer but Doubar pushed them down. Firouz tried to solve the problem:  “We are no pirates. We belong to the crew of captain Sinbad!”

“You can't be so dumb to think we would believe this. I can't see the famous captain Sinbad here.”

Before the crew could say anything, the men attacked them again and after a long fight the crew was arrested.

When Sinbad and Taim entered the devastated inn, he recognized that his crew was in trouble. Sinbad asked what has happened and he found out that his crew was arrested and brought to Sabras. Then he turned to Taim and said:  “I have to find my friends. It's better you go back to the ship with Dermott. There could be a lot of trouble.” But she shook her head.

“Oh no. You know I owe you a lot. I will come with you.”

Sinbad nodded and they walked away. On the way, they didn´t said anything. After one hour they stopped for some minutes. Taim looked for Dermott and smiled when he landed on her arm. There was a long silence, but Taim wanted to know more about the crew. She was only short introduced to them. “Doubar is you brother. Is that right?”

“Yes, Doubar is my big brother. When I was a little boy, he always protected me. He always has been there for me, though he also had nobody. Firouz is a scientist. He always innovate new things. Rongar had a very bad past. He is a real prince, you know. But he had a strong enemy. He ripped out his tongue and exiled him from his home. That's why he can't speak. Although his enemy is death now, he decided to stay with us. He is a good fighter and a very good friend. And Bryn. We know nothing about her. She can't remember her past. But she has magical powers.

They went on and after a while she asked seriously:  “Why do you know Maeve?”

“I know master Dim Dim since I was a very little boy. Two years ago we sailed to his island to take him on a journey. There I saw Maeve for the first time. She was  his magic apprentice.”

Sinbad remembered every detail, but he don't wanted to tell it. Taim could not look at him when she asked:  “What happened to them?”

“On our journey, we met a demon. He cursed Dim Dim into another dimension. Maeve stayed with us until she was lost in a storm. It over one year ago. Dim Dim saved her. She shall be save with him, wherever they are. When do you saw her for the last time?”

She said with an empty voice:  “I saw her for the last time when she became a student of master Dim Dim. More than three years ago. One day Ill find her.”

“It was no coincidence that we met!”

She looked at him very confused. “Why?”

“A friend said your name when he died. He lived in Basip and.....”

“Oh no,” she painfully whispered and turned away from him.

“You knew him well?”

“He was a very close friend.”

After this talked, they silenced and hurried up to get to Sabras.

When they reached the portal of the castle where the crew was arrested, the guards attacked them. They defended themselves as good as possible but is was really hard. Taim kicked and pushed them away with much power and even Sinbad was a little bit impressed. But she sill had problems to defend herself, so Sinbad had to help her as far as he could. Suddenly a man came and ordered to stop.

“Stop! Let them. I suppose you are Sinbad the sailor. I not only recognized you by your great talent to fight, I also saw the chain you wear. It the symbol of the sultan of Basra, isn't it? That means you are a good friend of him, and his friends are my friends. Welcome in Sabras. Can I help you?”

“I'm here because of my crew. They were arrested as pirates. I please you to let them go.”

“Excuse me and my guards, Sinbad. Please forget this and I would be pleased when you would be my guest as long as you wish.

The crew enjoyed the evening there as guests very much. Although that Taim get on with them very well, the most time she kept away from the others. While the others celebrated and were spoiled, Sinbad walked on the patio to get some fresh air. There he saw Taim, leaning on a wall and watching on the ocean. Dermott was with her.

“Beautiful this view,” Sinbad remarked. Taim just smiled a little bit. “Isn't it strange? Jelvor wanted that I find you. Dim Dim always believed in destiny.”

“Do you think she's all right?”

“She is. We will find her!”
