On a beautiful day, the crew of the Nomad decided to go in a nearby tavern to drink some fresh water. They were in a small village called Rowan, in Irish. The wind of Bagdad took them over there, so they decided to stay for awhile in this village.

Bryn, for an unknown reason, felt a little uncomfortable in the village. She noticed that many people looked at her very strangely and she wondered why. She looked at the crew. "Did you noticed how these people were looking at me? "

Doubar shook his head. "Why do you mean by that? They think you are cute, that's all! Don't worry about that, lass!"

"No, I'm serious, Doubar. There's something wrong. I'm sure I have been here in my past. And maybe I did something bad....." She could feel it, inside of her. All around here was familiar, the smell, the people, the houses.

"You, doing something bad...Can't believe it! Serious, Bryn, don't be so anxious! It's in your mind. Those people have nothing against you, or any of us. It's the first time we all come here," Firouz said. He just couldn't imagine Bryn hurting someone.

"Firouz's right," Sinbad said, smiling to her. "I heard that there's a big celebration tonight at the market place. Maybe we should all take a look, and have fun. We need to relax. "

"What a great idea, little brother!" Doubar said, laughing.

Rongar agreed, a smile on his face.

Sinbad went to the tavern' owner to ask him about the celebration. "My crew and I were wondering in what occasion this celebration is occurring and if we could assist to it."

"Oh..it's a little celebration, special to this village. Each day of the year, we get all together and make a big party. It's a tradition of this village. But of course, we accept visitors and it will be a pleasure if you would all come!" the tavern' owner answered.

"Thank you," Sinbad said. He returned to the table. "So, we have a long night in front of us. We should return to the Nomad to get prepare."

*****************************************************************

Some hours later, the crew were all prepared and ready to celebrate a big party. Bryn was very anxious, and walked behind the others, trying to make herself as small as possible, but everyone was already the party, and she finally breathed.

They went to the market place and they stood five minutes, apart of the others, watching the place at the big joy of Bryn who really didn't like the look of the people of this village, even if the others had told her not to worry, and she started to think they might me right. And the place was wonderful! It was full decorated, beautiful, lighted, and people were dancing, singing, talking, joking and laughing all around. Soon, the tavern's owner noticed them and made them a big sign of the hand.

"HEY!!" he made his way to them. "Glad you could come! By the way, I think I didn't present myself. My name is Rael and I own the tavern of this town. So, what do you think about our little party?"

"It's wonderful!" Bryn said, smiling. "I never saw something like this before.

The tavern's owner looked at her carefully. "humm..did you ever come here? I could swear I know this face...."

Bryn shivered. "Oh, I don't know. I can't remember my past, I just remember my name."

"And what would be your name, if I can ask?" he asked, waiting impatiently for the answer.

"Name's Bryn."

The tavern' owner looked her strangely. "Bryn....Bryn.....I could swear I heard that name before...I don't have a very long memory....Wait a minute..." The tavern's owner left for a minute. He went to a young lady who was dancing and started to talk to her. After a time, she followed him.

"Hurry up, I don't just have that to do..." she shouted to Rael.

"Okay...Firy, do you recognize this woman?" he asked to the lady, pointing Bryn.

Firy looked her in the eyes, silently. "Those eyes.....and that face...and that necklaces....Yeah, I'm sure I know you! What's your name?"

"Bryn," she said. She was so nervous to know her reaction.

"Bryn! Bryn! You are....Bryn! But...I don't catch anything....." Firy said, confused.

"I don't remember my past.....nothing, except my own name.." She looked at the woman. At the beginning, when she said her name, she looked happy, and after, her eyes became dark, and now, they are confused. "I just had some flash back, but nothing I could remember."

"Oh..so you don't....nevermind. I'm Firy. Well, my real name is Fannasty, but it's so ugly....and everyone call my Firy. Probably because of my hair. " she said, pointing her hair who were as red as the fire.

"So..you know me?"

"Of course! We were friends when we were young. I know you since you were born. This is your village. You grew up here, like I do."

"So, why does everyone look at me like I was a stranger and not welcome here?" she asked.

Firy bit her lips. "It's....a long story which you probably don't want to remember....and it's better this way, you know. I don't want to mean it badly....It's just better that you don't remember. For you and for all of us. And anyways, for people who doesn't remember their past, it's best they remember by themselves."

"I did horrible things, right? "

"Bryn, I'm sure it's not that bad..." Sinbad said.

"No...remember that little thing Scratch said? I don't remember exactly what he said, but I'm sure he was telling the true about me..." She looked at Firy. "Please, tell me what I have done. I need to know."

Firy took a deep breath. " You know, you were a very good person before. We were always together, you, me and another friend of us. Everyone called us the magic trio! " she laughed at the memory of those special moments."We were learning magic together. I was learning healing, our other friend and you, white magic. But someday, you met this guy....and you fell into black magic...."

Bryn coughed. "What guy? And why did I fell into black magic?"

"You were really in love with this guy, and it was a black sorcerer, and for him, you changed white magic for black. We tried everything we could to bring you back in the right way, but he was too strong for your powers. And it's when you began to be...bad....I don't want to describe everything, you'll know in time...And someday, you left with him on a ship, and we never heard about you till now."

"Oh my.....I was...evil? So, Scratch was right, and my feeling too..." Bryn said. She hided the tears who wanted to come out. "I need some times alone. " She left quickly at went behind a house. She sat on the ground, her head in her hand, and stood like that for hours.

During this time, the rest of the crew were talking with Firy.

"I can't believe it...."Firouz said. "Who could find out she was evil? She was so nice with all of us..."

"Firouz!! How can you say something like this? It's not her fault. And she is still a part of our crew. Even if we know her past, she is the same person we met on that island one year ago," Sinbad said, looking to all his crew.

"Sinbad is right, Firouz. I don't mind what Bryn could have been in her past. I know she is a good friend, and a good person," Doubar said.

"Yes, she is a good person. She wouldn't become evil if she wouldn't have met Sven. I'm not sure, but I think he put a spell on her, because if she had been herself, I know she wouldn't have done a such thing. And I'm sure everyone here thinks like this inside of them," Firy said.

"But what happened to that Sven?" Sinbad asked.

"I don't know. He vanished in the same time as Bryn, and we never know what happened to him really. We just thought they were living happily somewhere, far from here," Firy answered.

*****************************************************************

Bryn was still behind the house, weeping silently. Now, how could Sinbad and the others trust her? Evil..her. She has still her head in her hands, till a voice in front of her stared her.

"Well, well...Look who we have here. Bryn. So long time you didn't visit the village. You are a bad girl."

Bryn jumped on her feet, and looked in the eyes of the man directly in front of her. And hate appeared in her eyes, as fast as she recognized the man and all her past returned to her memory suddenly. "Sven."

Fight Agaisnt The Past ~ Part Two

"Glad you still remember my name, honey. I waited for you for a long time and it's not you're showing yourself. Very bad girl." Sven said, a little smile on his dark face. He walked around her, like a lion around the poor creature he wants to kill. He tried to read in her mind, but she had blocked it, so it made him more angry.

"Don't call me honey. And I had amnesia, so that's why I didn't return here," Bryn explained, facing him. She was having some flash back about her past, about what she had done, about what he made her done. "Now, get out of my way. And stop turning around me like that!"

"Honey, what happened to you? That amnesia brainwashed you, honey. Don't tell me you decided to return to the white way!" Sven said, looking her angrily.

She shivered. She had always been scared of him when he was angry and tried always not to be there when it happened. But she was getting tired to be scare, so she decided to tell him the true, even if it has to get him angry. "That's it. I don't want to hurt honest people any more, I want to help them, to do something good with my life. Of course I don't expect you to understand that. But just get out of my life! Old times are passed." Bryn shouted. She was now breathless, but was feeling better, even if she didn't believe she said those things.

Sven walked to her, a dangerous look in his eyes. "Oh, really? After all those years, after all I had done for you, after all we went through, you think I'll leave you alone? Well, you're wrong, Bryn, you're very wrong. I'll make everyone hate you. Everyone. Your friends, the people of this village, everyone. Then, you'll notice I'm the only person who loves you. You won't escape me so easily, honey." He came closer. He was going to zap her, but was stopped by the look in her eyes.

Bryn concentrated and suddenly, a blow of wind raised on Sven who screamed while he was thrown away. Bryn knew he would return, but it gave her some times. She quickly returned at the party and went to her friends.

"Bryn, we are..." Sinbad started, but was interrupted by Bryn. "Not now, Sinbad. Don't have the time. Firy, I need your help. I saw Sven and all my memories came back."

Firy nodded. "Slow down...I think we will need to talk about what happened years ago, but we'll talk 'bout that later. Where is he?"

"I threw him away for a moment. It will make him more angry, but well...I had no choice." Bryn explained. She looked to her friends and saw their confused looks. They understand nothing of what is going on. She looked down. They would probably want her to leave the Nomad after knowing all she had done, and she understands it well, but it makes her feel sad. They were her family, her friends and she didn't want to loose them. But because of this man, they wouldn't trust her any more.

She sighed and tried to get those things out of her mind for now. "He hates me now. I wonder if he ever loved me, but well. He's going to be angry and when he's angry, he's more powerful."

"Yeah. He will not be easy to defeat, you know. But I'll help you. The most important is that you don't fall again into his lies. Your amnesia made you become good again, and I really want it to stay that way. You can't imagine how hard it was to see you do things I know you wouldn't have done if you were yourself." Firy answered, a soft smile on her lips.

"What do you mean by 'if I were myself'? Sven didn't put a spell on me. I...I was young and I loved him. He put in my head a lot of lies that I believed. He...he told me my family would finally love me if I entered in the dark way. That's why I did it. Inside of me, there was this little voice who hated what I was doing, but I didn't listen to it. It's really all my fault."

"Shh...Don't say that, please. It's Sven's fault, not yours." Firy said. She then hugged Bryn for a long time, like she had done so often when they were kids.

The crew of the Nomad just stood there, not knowing what to do, and watched the two friends. Sinbad would have liked to say something, but he just didn't know why. It wasn't the Bryn he knew in front of him. Her eyes were full of vengeance and tears. But he understood and he know he would support her whatever is going to happen next.

"C'mon now. We have to get ready." Firy whispered in Bryn's ear. "He will be there in a minute." She turned her attention to the Nomad's crew. "You should go away. This isn't going to be a party and I don't want any of you to be hurt. You can watch from over there, if you want."

"Are you sure? We could stay there..." Firouz started, but he finally nodded at the look of Firy and with Doubar and Rongar, he went hiding, but Sinbad didn't want to. "I'm staying here."

Bryn sighed. As always, he wasn't listening to anyone else than himself. "Sinbad, I..."

"I said I'm staying here," he firmly said. "And Dermott will stay with me. Right, Dermott?"

As an answer, the hawk perched himself on Sinbad's arm.

Firy smiled. Those two were so funny to watch. "Okay, then, but be careful!"

"BRYYNNNNN!!!" Sven yelled as he appeared in front of them.

"Ohh..Firy. What a surprise. Nice to see you again anyways. I'm surprised to see you there. After all Bryn done to you...You should be the one who wants to kill her. You shouldn't forgive so easily to people. People never really change when they became adults, you know." He said, smiling.

"Shut up, Sven. What you're saying is not affecting me at all." Firy answered. "You are the one to blame for all happened to me and this village. Not Bryn."

"So sweet...And so stupid. Too bad for you, Firy." He turned to Sinbad. "Who are you? Never saw your face before."

"I'm Sinbad."

"The sailor." He started to laugh. "This is going to be fun. So Bryn, you didn't change your mind?"

"Not at all."

"Good. Coz I'm gonna kill ya all, and I won't miss ya this time!"

Fight Against The Past ~ Part Three

Bryn and Firy were ready for battle. The two of them stood next to each other, hands in hands. Three meters in front of them was Sven, an evil smile on his face. Sinbad was watching them near by, ready to interfere if anything goes wrong for Bryn.

"So, are you ready to die?" Sven asked, laughing. It would be an easy victory. Those girls don't stand a chance against an evil sorcerer like him.

Firy smiled. "I should ask you the same question. You know you can't win. It's written in the stars that white magic will always defeat black magic."

"The stars lie, my dear, because this time, black magic will win." He then clapped his hand. "Enough chatting. Let the battle begin!"

Red bubbles came from Sven's hand and blue from the girls. Sven walked closer to Bryn and Firy, smiling. His bubbles were approaching dangerously from the two friends. With his other hand, he zapped Bryn, who ignored it. It made him angrier, so he zapped her harder, with a lightning flash. She fell on the ground, unconscious.

"BRYN!" Sinbad screamed, as he ran to her.

"Damn..." Firy whispered. "You wanna play that kind of game, hun? Fine." A bull of fire began to form in her right hand. It became bigger and when it was as big as her, she threw it to Sven, who fell on the ground. "Is she alright?" she asked, still watching Sven.

"Yes, I think. She regain consciense now," Sinbad said. He helped Bryn to get up. "You fine?"

She nodded. "I have to help Firy. She can't kill him by herself." At that moment, her and Sinbad's rainbow bracelet started to shine. Bryn looked up to him and smiled.

He smiled back to her and took her hand. The sky became very dark. Surprised, Firy and Sven stopped to fight to look up. A big and violet lightning crashed directly on Sven who screamed in pain. The next moment, he disappeared. The rainbow bracelet stopped to shine.

"What the hell happened?" Firy asked, staring at where Sven was.

"I...I don't know. But he's gone. And he won't come back," Bryn answered, still smiling at Sinbad. *Stop smiling like an idiot! You look stupid,* a little voice in her head told her. She immediately stopped.

"I think we should all go to bed. We'll talk about all that tomorrow," suggested Sinbad. Everyone agreed.

****

Doubar, Firouz, Rongar, Sinbad and Firy were already up when Bryn woke up. She found them at a table, eating their breakfast. They welcomed her with smiles. "Hi guys."

"Hi!" They shouted together.

They began to talk about the weather when Bryn suddenly interrupted them. "I think it's time to talk about what happened, about Sven, about my past..."

Firy sighed. "Fine. I'll start. Bryn and I grew up together. She was living with his mother in the house next to ours. One day, when we were ten, we decided to visit the nearest village. Our parents told us not to go there, but we wanted to, so we left, saying we were going to play in the forest."

"In this village, we met a little girl of our age and we spent the day with her. She was nice, so we decided to come back the next day. And we did it during two months. One day, while we were playing with the girl, her father came. He was angry because her daughter was playing with some peasants." Bryn rolled her eyes at the memory.

"He asked us our names, and he jumped at Bryn's name. He started to ask her millions of questions. We were all confused, even the girl. But it was late, and we had to go home. The next day, the man came in our village. When he saw Bryn's mother, he started to scream at her."

"You hided her from you, you bitch! Why didn't you tell me? Why? You had no right to do a such thing! You're going to regret it!" Bryn imitated the voice of the man. She sighed. "My mom was so scare that she couldn't say a word. He started to hit her. Again and again. I finally ran to my mother and yelled to the man to stop hurting her. He then laughed and said that he was my father and that my mom hided my from him..."

"Why?" Firouz asked.

"First, I think you must know the name of her father. It's Turok, and the little girl was Rumina. Her mother hided her because she was scare for her. She didn't want Bryn to study black magic. But Turok wanted her to learn like, like Rumina was doing...no, he ordered her to learn it," Firy replied.

"It's not what I wanted. I said no, so in anger, he killed my mother and then, he said he would kill Firy if I didn't say yes. So I agreed, and I left the village. You can imagine that Rumina wasn't very happy...She hated me and did everything she could to hurt me. I was tired, so when I was fifteen, I ran away, and returning to my hometown."

"I was teaching white magic with an old magician and he agreed to learn it to Bryn. We were starting to be pretty good, when a man named Sven arrived in town. Bryn fell in love with him. She thought he was good, but he soon showed his real nature..."

"I...I fell again in black magic, but this time, I fell hard. I only did it because I loved him, and inside, I wanted to show to my father and Rumina that I could be bad. Oh, I know...I have been so stupid..."

"Of course, not...Love can change people and make them do things they wouldn't do usually," Doubar said.

"Thanks, Doubar. Anyway, I started to do bad things to everyone I loved in the village, especially to Firy. I became worst by the time and everyone hated me, except my father, who were so proud of me, and Sven. But something happened inside of me and I decided it was enough. I told it to Sven and it made him so angry that I ran away. I took the first ship that was leaving."

"There had been a terrible storm that day and we learned the ship had been destroyed. The people didn't know Bryn was on that ship, so they thought she went somewhere else to do bad. End of the story..." Firy declared. She then looked to the Nomad's crew. "I truly hope this story won't change your opinion about Bryn."

"It won't, don't worry," Sinbad answered, smiling. "But why did you help her after all she had done to you? Just a simple question...I'm curious."

Firy shrugged and smiled. "I don't know...she was my friend. It's true she did horrible things, but it was Sven's fault and I never blamed Bryn."

Bryn smiled. "Thank you for everything."

"We have to leave now. We'll be waiting on the ship," Sinbad said, to Bryn. They crew said goodbye to Firy and left.

"I hope you'll be happy on that ship."

"I will. They have been great friends for me. I promise you I'll come back."

They hugged.

Bryn started to walk to the sea when she heard Firy voice. She turned around.

"HEY! Don't forget to invite me to your wedding with your dear captain!" She shouted, smiling.

"My wedding...with Sinbad???" She smiled at the idea. She liked that. All she had to do is to make sure all those girls stop jumping on him all the time. And to make sure he stop kissing all of them. She smiling to Firy. "No problem! When I'll convince him I'm the girl for him! How should I tell him?"

"Want my advice? Go in his bedroom while he's sleeping, wake him up with kisses and tell him you love him and that you want to pass the rest of your life with him!" She waved her hand and returned in the village.

"I would never be able to do that!" Bryn whispered to herself. "Wouldn't I?" She shrugged. "It can work. Why not? I have nothing to lose and life is too short!" She smiled. "Thanks Firy. And Sinbad, watch out, cuz I'm coming!"

THE END
