Chapstick!!!
Ok so anyone who knows me can read the heading and already know where I'm going. This is more of a tribute to my friends and family that have had to put up with me then it is me coming out of the closet and admitting I'm an addict. There are some people who apply chapstick because their lips are dry, or those who put on gloss because they want their lips shiny, I'm not one of them! I NEED chapstick, and only chapstick medicated kind, only kind that makes your lips tingle! Tingling means it's working :) I've used chapstick since I was young but only the past seven years or so have I needed it on a 5 minute basis. I always have one in my pocket, my purse, car, night stand, in my desk, downstairs in the kitchen, in my bathroom, I don't ever want to have to look for a chapstick, I must be able to just feel for it. And believe me I will wake up in the middle of the night several times just to reapply. My friends think I need the patch! I've tried going without it but then I start to think about it, and then I start thinking my lips are going to crack and it drives me nuts. It's gotten so bad I don't think I know what my lips feel like without anything on them. I don't understand why I've become this way, I didn't mean to. I know I've become annoying but I don't mean to be :( One day people will realize that they put an addictive substance and there will be a class action suit and I will be the lead plaintiff in the case and then they'll all believe me! Yes I know that only 0.5% of phenol is in chapstick but hey I'm reaching, leave me be! There is a plus side to this craziness, I always have soft lips, which is a good thing and if I'm dating you then you'll never have to buy chapstick! One kiss and you'll be good for the day, meanwhile I'll have to reapply afterwards :) So, I've admitted it, I'm a twit but I could be addicted to a lot worse, though some studies say that simple addictions lead to harmful ones in the future, yikes!!
