This is a gallery of photos I have taken in the woods and in the general area near my house. There are only a few photos here now, but I plan to add to this page as I take more photos. I used a Hewlett-Packard digital camera as well as a Photosuite computer program in which I toyed with the photos a bit. All photographs copyright 2004 Matt Boucher. Click here at any time to return to my homepage. And check back here every once in a while for more photos.
Late afternoon in a grove of hemlocks. Actually, although the ground around this area is somewhat marshy, it's not submerged in water as appears in the picture--that's a mirage effect I added later.
This is a close-up photo of a milk-weed plant in early spring. It's in the area behind the house that used to be a farmer's field, but is now in the process of growing back wild again.
This is an old tree that someone hooked a tire swing up to once. If you look closely you can see a thin metal wire gate to the right of the tree. Again, taken in early spring.
The photo to the right shows the sandy trail, facing southeast, that runs along the powerlines. Juniper and blueberry bushes grow here.
Below is a landscape that can be seen right behind my house. It's what I see when I'm coming back from my walks in the woods, heading towards the house. Although you can't tell from how the sky looks in the picture, it was starting to rain a little bit as I took this shot.
I have several more photos I'd like to put on here, but for some reason I can't upload them. Anyway, hope you enjoyed the photo gallery! I plan on putting more pictures here in the future.
