WHAT IS HARBOR CENTRE?
Harbor Centre is a comprehensive long-range vision which links the future with the area's rich historical maritime past and its current water-related activities.
Harbor Centre finds its roots in the Sheboygan area's greatest natural asset, Lake Michigan, and in its most colorful historic district, the harbor area. It links the past with the present, water activities with land activities, and the county's eastern shore with splendid assets to the west: Kohler's American Club complex, the inland lakes, Road America, Wade House, the scenic Kettle Moraine recreational area, and all the region's communities, rich in charm and ethnic heritage.
This artist's illustration shows how the completed first phase Marina and Lakefront Festival Park has stimulated the construction of an adjoining hotel and exposition center as well as other developments along the riverfront and in the downtown business district.
