| Manitoba's a cappella groupe, Madrigaa, formed in Spring of 1999. Its members used to get together and jam, sharing their voices through songs and vocal improvisation. Eventually, the idea came to form a group of female vocalists who would interpret songs from around the world. All the current members of the group have known individual successes in the francophone music community. All six have represented Manitoba in the western competition Chant'Ouest from 1992 to 2001. Four were crowned laureates of the competition in different years. They subsequently participated in the International Song Festival of Granby (Qubec). |

| Madrigaa's members are known for their multiple talents. First and foremost, every individual voice is very unique, creating a beautiful blend that many find enchanting. Also, the group adds percussion and movement to some of their pieces to bring more color and vibrancy to their performance. Their repertoire reflects their love for the multiple cultures of the world all while giving a special attention to their french-canadian roots. You can hear them sing songs in French, Spanish, Hungarian, Yugoslavian, Mic mac, Croatian, Hebrew, Yiddish, and more. |
