YOU CAN DANCE - 1987

You Can Dance was released in November 1987 and peaked at #14 on the charts. It was her first collection of tracks. There were no new U.S. singles off this album, and it is not one of her masterpieces. If you're thinking of becoming a Madonna collector, save this one for one of the last ones to get. The record, tape, and CD of this album all have different dub versions only availbale on each. I'm not gonna bother writing about them.

Spotlight - One of Madonna's most unknown tracks is this one. The only new available song off of the album. It peaked at #32 on U.S. AIRPLAY and thats about it. This track was only released in Japan and it was the B-side to Rescue Me in the U.K. This song wasn't performed anywhere, it was meant to be thrown on the True Blue album, but instead got thrown on here. Its a good song to exercise to, and its about being special, standing out from the rest, get out there and be noticed. A horrible bootleg video of this song is out there consisting of clips from tours and videos. YUCK!

Holiday
- Taken from the Madonna album. The picture above is the promo record. Which has 2 Over & Over's on the B-side. I really have nothing to say about these extended versions. They suck.

Everybody - Taken from the Madonna album. This sounds way bootleg. This was her first single ever where it got a crappy peak of 107. Original is better.

Physical Attraction - Taken from the Madonna album. This one isn't so catchy, but its bearable. Original version was also the B-side to Burning Up.

Over & Over - Taken from the Like A Virgin album. The best remixed track on this album. Very Energetic and fast! The only other track besides Spotlight that I will have some excitement to listen to.

Into The Groove - The picture above is the promo record. The original is much much better, the constant repeating of "commmmmmmmmme on come on" for 10 minutes gets me sick. Sounds like something you could do with your first Sony keyboard. They should have put the original version on it and extended it, considering it wasn't on an album or a single!

Where's The Party - Taken from the True Blue album. The picture above is the promo record. What did they do to this song? Sounds like a bootleg. I avoid this at all costs. A shame that my favorite song was killed on this album, who did this to my baby? You're dead!
