WHO'S THAT GIRL? - 1987

Who's That Girl? was released in July 1987, it got up to #7 on the charts. This is my all time favorite movie. It is hilarious and it shows a Madonna that is very different from what she appears to be today. In this movie I learned some of the basics in life, how to steal, how to drive like a nut, and how to be crazy and fun. The movie got mocked from everyone but I don't care what others think. She would then go on to do her 2nd tour which was also called The Who's that Girl Tour which was very successful. This soundtrack has 2 top 10 hits (one of which went to #1).

Who's That Girl - The 1st single off of the album and it peaked at # 1 on the charts! This song was played during the ending of the movie during the credits. It contains some spanish words, which for years I had no clue what she was saying. This song is unfortunately not played very much anymore. :( The video was not great but I think her face looks beautiful, considering it was the "True Blue" era (yuck in appearance). I don't know about her outfit, and cheesy ugly kids and lame fortune teller in this video but she kinda looked cute in the hat. This would be her last video until 2 years later of Like A Prayer.

Causing A Commotion
- 2nd and final single for the U.S. and it was her 2nd song to peak at #2 on the charts thanks to "I'm Bad I'm Bad You know it!" by Michael Jackson. Another track which is not played much anymore. This song was huge back in the 80s and she performed it at 2 different tours! There was no video for this song. It was played during the beginning of the movie during the cartoon part of the story.

The Look of Love
- B-side to Express Yourself in the U.S. but a single in other countries. A beautiful ballad that in my opinion should have been thrown on to her collection of ballads album (Something To Remember).

24 hours - Non Madonna Track
Step by Step - Non Madonna Track
Turn It Up - Non Madonna Track
Best Thing Ever - Non Madonna Track

Can't Stop - A track that was only played in the movie while she's driving like crazy through rail road tracks, over medians, driving away from cops, etc. Brings back great memories of pure fun! I love driving to this song. Unfortunately, Madonna did nothing with this song as far as performing, releasing as a B-side onto a single, etc. It's actually well written if you have a crush or are in love with someone. :) The only thing that bothers me about this is that its at the end of this soundtrack, putting it right after The Look of Love would have been perfect and very conveinent for all of us.
