Crazy for you - Madonna's 2nd song to hit # 1 (her first # 1 ballad). This song is from the Vision Quest soundtrack 1985. The B-side of this song was a non-Madonna track titled "No more Words". Crazy for you was re-released in 1991 outside the U.S.. This song knocked We are the World out of the # 1 spot back in 1985. We weren't so 'crazy' for the video though. Clips from the movie along with Madonna singing in a bar/lounge from the movie weren't too interesting. Especially that a very annoying blue and pink light are the only source of light in a dark room. You can barely see her.
Gambler - A single in Europe but not in U.S.. Madonna performed this in the movie Vision Quest. It also appears on the soundtrack and she performed it at the Virgin Tour. It's a great song full of energy. Sounds similar to "Maniac" by Michael Something.... The video for this is basically the same as Crazy for you except theres a split screen for like 2 seconds and some censuring of advertisements in the bar can be pointed out and she does some smiling and moves for the camera which weren't in the movie.. Great Special Effects!
Into The Groove - A single basically everywhere but the US. From the movie Desperately Seeking Susan this was one of the biggest 80s dance songs and the good version was only available as the B-side to the 12" single Angel. The video consists of many clips from the movie, well edited! "And you can dance!"
Santa Baby - Appearing only on "A very special Christmas". This would be her only somewhat release of music material in 1988. Its funny to listen to it year round in the car. Her voice sounds similar to her voice in the song "Cry Baby".
Supernatural - B side to Cherish and a remix can be found on the cd "Red Hot and Dance", however the B-side to Cherish version is MUCH better. Its about having a love affair with a ghost and has that cheesy spooky sounds in it. Pretty cool! A shame that it was dropped from the Like A Prayer album.

This Used to be my playground - Her 10th #1 single in the U.S.. From the movie "A league of their own" but not on the soundtrack. It would surface on some cd called Barcelona Gold olympic benefit crap. Whatever, if you don't have it now, just buy the Something to Remember album. Video was cool back in the day, when the idea and creativity were new but now its utterly boring to watch. Sorry!
Erotic - The CD that came with the SEX book was a song called "Erotic". Sounds very similar to "Erotica" but lyrics are different. I love the design of the cd and if anyone tells you on ebay or something that the CD is sealed tell them 'no shit' its a ziplock material so anyone can just re-seal it. p.s. the song 'Erotica' is much better.

Up Down Suite - One of the B-sides to the Rain Maxi. Its a 12 and a half minute instrumental of Goodbye to Innocence. Ok its not completely instrumental, theres a few "up"s and "down"s in there. It's full of energy and sounds a bit ahead of it's time. I can dance to it all night long.
Goodbye to Innocence - Found as track 2 on "Just Say Roe" cd. I love this song, it was meant for the Erotica album but was dropped and instead we got what we all know as Fever. I highly recommend this song, its one of her best from the pre Bedtime Stories era.

I'll Remember - Her 5th #2 single in the U.S. thanks to "I Swear"'s 535 week hog of the #1 spot. It sat at #2 for 4 weeks. This was from the movie "With Honors" which was her record companies first soundtrack release. Which is I'm sure why shes on it. This song was released after Rain and before Secret (in between the albums Erotica and Bedtime Stories). Video wasn't all that. Her hair looks like puke and there was a whole concept involved where one Madonna watches, from the director's chair, what the other Madonna is singing. Her necklace looks like a diamond chandelier and those 2 annoying girls who are on her side for a second singing backup really annoy me. But after all, the song is specatcular!

Let Down Your Guard - Only found on the B side to Secret UK. Many people consider this her worst song. Not me. It's not her best either but it sounds like Pac Man when you roll over the square that disable the ghosts's powers. The sound is also similar to that in the song "Music". I can't understand what that chinese guy is mumbling in the song. And what does she say in the beginning? "Big... Sign"???
If you forget me - From the "Il postino" soundtrack. A spoken poem with no music at all and her voice sounds exactly like her "Secret" promotion on the internet. ("Hello all you cyberheads..."). This is the only Madonna track that I have no comment on. Blah.

Veras - You'll See in Spanish. Can only be found on the You'll See Maxi Single. (half of veras can be found on the one more chance single). I saw this video once on mtv or vh1. It sounds beautiful just like the English version.
Guilty By Association - Horrible. A duet with Madonna and brother-in-law Joe Henry. Not really a duet, she throws a few words in the background where his horrible voice is the lead vocals and his music is horrible. Old school folk. This song can only be found (Thank God) on the cd "Sweet Relief II".
Freedom - I think this song is less then 3minutes. It can only be found on a cd called "Carnival!" released in 1997, but I believe the song was recorded around Bedtime Stories era (1994). Its not too spicy, pretty dull beat, but not that bad according to me. Where others have declared this as her worst song. I like to sing this one. "Freedom... brotherhood... Justice....." "Da da da da..."

Has To Be - B side to the song Ray of Light and track 14 on the Japanese Ray of light album. I like this song, and I can relate to the lyrics. Its very slow, so have a lot of patience.
Bittersweet - Beautiful poem with very relaxing music. Very relaxing! It appears on "Deepak and Friends: A Gift of Love: Music Inspired by Love Poems of Rumi". I actually really like this track even though its 2mins. Has the beginning of You'll see instrument noise. That chinese orient guitar sounding noise. Oh whatever, you know what I'm trying to say. This track is like 2 and half minutes.
Cuidado con mi corazon (Be careful with my heart) - Duet w/ ricky martin on his cd "Ricky Martin". A slow ballad which sounds beautiful and was highly rumoured to be a video and single but it was rumoured that Madonna had higher hopes around that time of doing Beautiful Stranger video and filming a box office smash "The Next Best Thing". Oh... put canceling a tour in there too.
Beautiful Stranger - Single outside the U.S.. But it charted as #19 thanks to Billboard's new chart formula where non-singles can chart based on airplay alone. This is from the moive "Austin Powers the spy who shagged me". The video was somewhat of a revelation for me. She finally looked hot again! She never looked hot in videos after 1995. It made me belive that she still has it in her!
American Pie -
Single outside the U.S.. Hitting #1 in basically every country but the U.S. where on airplay alone it peaked at #29. It appears on the soundtrack to "The next best thing" which starred Madonna. The video is a huge let down. You would think that an artist after 17 years of conquering music video would be an expert and learn to stop standing in the same spot with a different background while the director puts additional footage on the video. This video has the most ugliest people in it that I have ever seen (yes.. worse then the ones in the "Secret" video). This song is also on the Austrailian Music album.
Time Stood Still - Track 10 on "The Next best thing" soundtrack. Umm I think thats all I can say about it. Oh wait, I have never found such a huge range of opinion on a Madonna track until this one. Opinion ranges from this should have been the single not American Pie to that is the biggest waste of material Madonna and Orbit have done. I like to listen to it twice a year.
Cyberraga -
B-side to Music. I called this song "Shanti part 2". I only listened to this about 2 or 3 times. I cant take it. I thought she was done with that ohmmm galla mu jara na na mente music. She better not perform this. This is also the last track to the Japanese edition of the Music album.
The Funny Song (Oh Dear Daddy) -
I dont even know why this is making the list but it is. After the very edited Human Nature performance at the Drowned World tour was completed, Madonna actually spoke to the audience members! After her few words, she would ask the crowd repeatedly if they wanted to hear "the new song, which no one's ever heard before", which was bullshit b/c we heard it every night. You think she'd get the point that nobody was responding after she kept asking. Anyway, this "funny" song was not funny at all, it was infact very stupid and I dont see why she tries to get us so hyped up for a dumb song like that and not a good one. It was about 'daddy' getting killed then she ate him at the funeral? Hate that I was forced to listen to this 8 times.

Die Another Day -
Madonna's only single and video in 2002 is from the James Bond "Die another day" movie...
