Borderline - 3rd single, her first top 10 hit, hitting # 10. The beginning of this song sounds very slow and boring, sort of like a lullaby and then changes beat. I guess she likes that idea, she does it in many songs, including Ray of light. One of her first videos with a decent storyline and she claimed once that this was her first video... LIAR! I guessed she forgot about the other 2, or was embarassed of them. The song is supposedly about an orgasm.<

Burning Up - 1st single off this album. It did not chart. It was only released as a 12" not a 7". Seeing this video was the first time I layed eyes on her. I was watching MTV in 1983 and her being the only blonde hot girl on MTV, I immediately fell in love. It was this video too. I love the video, she looks perfect to me. Maybe thats why I'm attracted to trashy looking women. She dances around the room, and then shes layingin a boat and rolling around in the street. Final moments of the video: the guy is about to run her over but then all of a sudden she is driving. Perhaps the Deeper and deeper video is the continuation of where this one left off? I doubt it.
I know it - B-side for Lucky Star and Holiday. This song isn't so great as the others, you can tell by the writting that this was written by an amateur. Having the rhyming words be: run, one; me, be; see, me; you, do; etc. Unprofessional, sounds like a cheerleading song.

Holiday - 2nd single, her 1st top 20 landing at # 16. The picture above is the U.K. single cover of this song, since there was no picture sleeve in the U.S. It is rumoured that there was no picture sleeve because they wanted to keep leading people to believe that she was black! This song is one of two to be sung at ever tour, the other being Like a virgin. This song is in the race with Live to tell to see who can be on the most singles, b-sides, collections, etc.
Think of me - B-side for Borderline. I love this song. In fact, I like it more then Holiday. "YOU BETTER THINK OF ME!!!" I want to know who the hell this guy is that Madonna's always writing about. Or at least who initiated these feelings of rejection from I know it/Think of me to Frozen/The power of good-bye. She's still having trouble with finding the perfect guy?
Physical Attraction - B-side to Burning up. This unappealing song was released to clubs before the album was released. This is the longest song on the album. Nothing specatuclar; but very early 80s sounding. Just remember "it's a physical, a physical attraction, a chemical, a chemical reaction.".. great writing!

Everybody - This was her first single released and it peaked at # 107. It was released way before this album was released and the video was extremely low budget which was understandable. Surprisingly, it is not her worst. It was very rarely on television, it reminds me of Lucky star video but it takes place in a populated club, and according to many sources, this video doesn't count as a real video since it wasn't done in a studio, it was done in a club 'Danceteria' (one of her favorite New York clubs back then), you decide. p.s. Madonna doesn't go to clubs anymore. She doesn't even go out anymore. Yes, I know for a fact. This was the final song of her last tour, The Girlie Show, in 1993.
