One More Grant - by Josh Deb Barman

I turned around too late to see the overdraft
I fell asleep and never saw the sum go down
I took your aid for granted
Thought luck was always on my side
I turned around too late and it was gone

So give me one more grant
Oh please Sir, I do entreat
Let me win your trust
Or I'll be living in the street
If you don't trust me,
Please bury me

I like to cut it a little fine - I never thought I'd lose
I wrote the cheques but never got a job
I planned it out so perfectly,
So they'd never chase a boy like me
I was a fool, but now I understand

So give me one more grant
Oh please Sir, I do entreat
Let me win your trust
'Cause I have nothing left to eat
If you don't trust me,
Please bury me

Here is the law of the land
You play with banks and you'll get spurned
Here is the lesson I've learned
That if you owe them too much they'll be after your balls.

So give me one more grant
Oh please Sir, I do entreat
Let me win your trust
Please help me save my balance sheet

Gimme one more grant
Tell me that it's not too late
Let me win your trust
Oh sir, please don't hesitate
If you trust in me,
A good boy I'll be.

Give me one more grant
