This is our author's final journal entry. In it, he names "The Girl from the Fiction Department" as Julia. By the article, he and Julia have joined The Brotherhood. He speaks of this as though it were a terribly rare occurrence. This, matched with the author's previous identification of Emmanuelle Goldstein as being unorthodox again suggests that the relationship between Goldstein and The Brotherhood and the English Socialist Party once was not what it is currently held to have been. Again, this serves to emphasize the need to create a full record of the activities of the English Socialist Party from its inception to its destruction. |
