What is the current status of Cinderella's latest recording project?
(No response - - stay tuned for updates on this subject).
Any prospects for an upcoming tour?
Next year hopefully.
Tell us a little about your solo projects, eg, your dance remixes, your studio, etc.
I've been doing alot of dance/techno mixes for Cleopatra/Hypnotic records and really love it. I have songs on about 10 records at this time.
What's your deal with bad weather?
Love severe weather. The most powerful force on earth. Storm chasing is the most incredible high ever. Jeff Piotrowski is one of the best storm chasers in the world and I only go with him. He knows when and where they'll be and get insanely close to them.
What CDs are in your stereo right now?
Saliva, The Union Underground, Ministry of Sound annual 2000, Ice cube War
and Peace vol 2, Razed n Black -oh my goth, Van Halen 2
If you, instead of becoming a rock star, decided to go into medicine, what would be your specialty?
Surgery.
Who are some of your favorite up and coming rock bands?
See "What CDs are in your stereo right now."
What are some songs that, if they come on the radio, you have to change the station immediately?
I try to find what it is about all songs that people like. If it's on the radio, it's obviously a hit and I try to figure out what the hook is-bass line? Vocals? Groove etc. I end up liking it all.
Have you read "Fargo Rock City" by Chuck Klosterman? If so, what do you think of what he has to say about Cinderella's videos?
Never did - please tell me.
How did you all decide on the name "Cinderella" for your band all those years ago?
Soft name, hard band- Kiss, Queen etc.
Note: Can you think of any soft bands with hard names? **cough**
What's your favorite Slaughter song?
Spend my life.
Are you a good cook? Got a favorite recipe you can share with us? Please, no protein shakes ala Bobby Rock. We're talking REAL food.
Mushrooms in a pan with butter on med. heat- add 1 teaspoon sugar and 1 glass of your favorite red wine. wait until the wine boils for a few minutes. Awesome. (thanks to Donny Syracuse)
Note: In addition to this, add one chopped shallot, two chopped cloves of garlic, some chicken stock and a little heavy cream. Top this off with some fresh herbs and you have a nice pasta sauce. (Hey, just trying to help.)
Any words of encouragement for us grouchy med students?
Be happy at what ever you do and you'll never work a day in your life!
Many thanks, Fred!
