The number of children visiting U.S. physicians for the treatment of attention
deficit hyperactivity disorder tripled between 1990 and 1998, according to an
article by Washington State University researchers published in the February
issue of CNS Drugs. Linda M. Robison, a researcher in the WSU College of Pharmacy, and her
colleagues reported in the article that the number of physician office visits
resulting in a diagnosis of ADHD increased from 947,208 in 1990 to 3,234,180 in
1998. From The Annie E. Casey Foundation: Nationally, the percentage of women who smoked during pregnancy decreased from 18.4% in 1990 to 12.6% in 1999. IF THE TRUTH IS ON THEIR SIDE, WHY DO THEY LIE?
