*Notes: Any of the dice codes in ( ) indicate the XB 41 when the proton torpedo launcher pod's have been jetesoned. The XB 41 has a very unique weapon's system. It hase a automated Quad Laser turret mounted in the nose of the craft giving it a very large fire ark which makes up for the ship's slugishness. The next weapon system is the huge torpedo complement. At the command of the pilot or astromech in the event of the pilot being unconscious/dead, the torpedo pod's may be jetesoned from the main hull. Doing this changes the ships main configeration to give the XB 41 the best chance of escape or survival in a dog fight. The cost to replace the torpedo pods if they are not recovered are 30,000 credits each. As you can see the XB 41 is not a cheap option and that is the ship's main draw back. as well as needing regular and costly maintainance. The XB 41 is costly and is a logistical nightmare. That is why it is seen so little combat, and when it is, it's only given to the best pilots. |
