Interested in joining our department??

We are always looking for new members, no matter what age, race or

religion. It's very simple, whether you want to be a Firefighter, an

EMT-B (Emergency Medical Technician-Basic) or an EMT-P

(Paramedic) we will train you at
no cost to you. There are day and

evening classes available for the EMT-B program and most are held at

the Springfield-Clark JVS on Selma Road
or at Clark State

Community College on Leffels Lane. The classes (depending on the

times) are mostly 2 days a week for 4 hours and one or two Saturday

classes. The firefighter class locations and times vary, but usually take

one weekend to complete. All you need to do is fill out an application.

The requirements are: you must be 18 years of age or older, have a

valid driver's license, must be willing to take a drug test upon request,

live in the jurisdiction of Madison Township (if you live near the

Madison Township jurisdiction you may also be considered) and not

have been convicted of any felony crimes. If you meet these

requirements and want to spend your free time helping others please

fill out our application. You may get an application by stopping by the

firehouse (the address is on our home page) the 2nd Sunday of the

each month between 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, you can call 937-462-8222
