Objective: Student Council members will develop strong leadership skills, responsibility,
and community awareness.
Two student Council Members will represent all homerooms. Student selection should be based
on responsibility and leadership qualities. Homerooms may select alternates in case their first
choice cannot fulfill his/her duty as a student representative.
Student Council Members will:
1. Attend school faithfully, complete his/her assignments on time, and work to
his/her full potential.
2.Behave in a manner that does not disrupt classroom learning or the operation of the school.
3. Refrain from aggressive or threatening behavior towards fellow students, teachers or other
school staff. Suspension or placement in In School Suspension for these types of infractions will
result in dismissal from Student Council.
4. Complete a minimum of 15 hours of community service in their neighborhood, throughout the
school year.
5. Attend and/or participate in all possible Student Council activities, meetings, and fund
raising events. *(Required a minimum of 8 school related functions).
6. Follow and obey Robert's Rules of Order during all official meetings.
7. Maintain a Grade Point average of at least 2.0. Not complying with this rule will result
in dismissal.
