ABOUT US
The Madison Police Department serves a population just shy of 2000 in Lac qui Parle County in West Central Minnesota.  Our department structure consists of a full-time Chief of Police, Stan Ross, two full-time Police Officers, Aaron Thoreson and Cole Weick, and eight part-time Police Officers.  We have three Department Squad Cars, two of which are dedicated to patrol use and one which is used in conjunction with the DARE program and other special events.
The Madison Police Department prides itself on being a Community Oriented Police Agency and we try to have as many positive contacts with the public as possible.  This includes a very intense DARE program, community meetings, youth bicycle rodeo, periodic patrol on foot and bicycle, vacation house watch and active participation in the Safe and Sober program.
Our office is located at the Lac qui Parle County Sheriff's Department which enables us to have a great working relationship with the Sheriff's Department and other area Law Enforcement agencies.
