Read on: now days there are a remarkable process in the field of technology due to the introduction of micro controller. A micro controller development system (MDS) is a computer configuration that is used in the design and development of micro controller based systems. An in circuit emulator (ice) formed a part of a micro controller development system .ICE consists of a special purpose hardware and software, which enables the user to emulate an environment of the target system. ICE allows testing of target software in real time before a working prototype is ready. The MDS is interfaced to the target system allowing the testing & debugging of the target hardware.
The ICE allows downloading the object code program into RAM of the system being tested & allows running the program, examining & changing the contents of register/memory location. The power full feature of an ICE is the ability to use either system memory or target memory of the prototype.
