The Green Consort: For Aparna
While the world hunts down, the secrets of Da Vinci
The Code-busters abound, as far as one can see
I seek a new turn, instead view Ms Dogra
To a hoary Indian myth, my attention I then
draw
Daughter of the Mountains, Consort of Shiva!
Nurtured in the highs, from whence flow the
rivers!
Named thus, this modern-day belle
Has, however, a different story to tell.
She traverses the Continent, picnics in
Fontainbleu
Has friends of all kinds, and boy, they're
not a few!
Yet her name rings, an ancient little chime
When the world measured itself, in Oriental
time
Some day I shall pen, the Legend of Aparna
Show the leafy roots, of the Apparent
Foreigner!
