Over the years I have picked up some tips on playing swos and here they are:

Goalies

The more expensive the goalkeeper the better he is obviously, but the goalkeeper also relys on the defenders heavly you may have Barthez in goal but if your defence is not up to scratch you may find yourself letting in some goals. So if you have speedy defenders it will help you a lot in keeping clean sheets.

Defenders

I have always found to have fast defenders is a must if you want your squad to do any good. You should always make an extensive search when choosing defenders the best players are always not the most expensive. Tip It is good to have defenders with strong shot power so they can make long balls to your attack so it skips out oppents midfeilders.

Midfeild

You do not really need a fast central midfeild but you would really need midfeilders with shot power passing and tackling as their main abiltys. Don't worry about giving away free kicks in the midfeild area it better than giving away in your area which your oppents can score some leathel set peices. Left and Right wings are a probely the main play makers in your squad so it is important to have a fast wingers so they can intimdate defences but you must remember like strikers they are very prone to injurys and when you bring them back to from injury and they are not 100% they easily pick up more injuries which can seriously effect your team.

Attackers

The best strikers to have are ones with speed, shot power and finishing if you want to go past defenders with no problems at all. But you should also remember that these strikers are also injury prone so it is always usefull to have two or three strikers as a back up to your current srikers.

Subs

Sub goalkeeper is not very usefull at all as goalies never get injured but you might want to give them a run out in a while agaist weak oppistion. Sub defenders have one or two defenders they do not need to be anything special either for your team but just as a back if the worsae does happen. Sub wingers and strikers are very important because out of all of the subs they are most likely to get the most matches than everyone elese so they need to fast players.

Reserve and Trial players

These players are most of the time really shit to be quite honest. But some of them are great player worth millions at a time so if you get a trial player check him out first.
