I’m not sure how it happened—I remember being carried by my human—after that I fell into a warm hazy sleep.
I awake on a stomach rather than a back—a minor difference—that smells distinctly like the funny human.
I stretch, getting rid of the stiffness from sleeping in a ball—or try to as the funny human sits up quickly.
He stares down at me blearily, “How did you get here?”
I give him an annoyed look for dumping me over backwards.
He sighs, “McKay, it would be nice if you ask if I want to be cat sitter.”
He nudges me off him before going into the bath room—I follow—he looks at me disturbed.
I make myself a spot on a shelf while he gets ready—he glances at me periodically from the shower—I’m not going anywhere near the water.
He carries me to the mess hall—I’m not sure what this “military food” stuff is supposed to be—I only eat the tuna fish—and then takes me to the big room to sit on his neck.
I lounge content for once—not having to hold on for dear life.
My human returns—looking rather exhausted—I smile up at him.
He looks almost hurt, “Radek, I think she likes you.”
“Huh?”
“She’s usually upset when I leave her with someone.”
I’m not sure how it happened—I have two humans.
