I've Seen Him

Memories, like replayed home movies, fill our hearts with a rainbow of emotions. As a young boy, special memories of growing up in a small "Big Sky" town, warm me. Falling asleep with anticipation of winter's first snow fall and waking up to a morning sky filled with white snow flakes of every shape and size. Looking out the bedroom window on a pure white blanket of God's handiwork. Putting the cat out first, giving him a few minutes, and then following his footsteps. That first snow brought such excitement, such joy. My mind struggled to understand the millions of snowflakes God had made, yet not one alike. Oh, to still feel that child-like amazement in our "I'm now grownup" lives. Growing older and moving to a place without snow, I miss it. In this refreshing white wonder of nature, I've seen Him.

There on the wall of this museum, an amazing combination of colors, a painting created to light up the whole room and it did. Blues and yellows and reds with splashes of orange and violet and green. Filling my eyes, running over into my soul, and splattering into my heart. There are many wonderful works of art to enjoy which take our breath away. Talented painters, creating enjoyment to share with us from a blank canvas, are to be applauded. Thank you.

Yet each morning the Master takes a blank sky as His canvas and creates a glorious sunrise. What a way to start a day! Thank you Father. Then on special nights, He outdoes Himself, filling the skies with the breath-taking colors of sunset. In those sunrises and sunsets, I've seen Him.

In the sweet melody of the blue bird, I've seen Him.

In the creatures, big and small and the vast beauty of creation, I've seen Him.

I know a beautiful lady named Alice, age 80, who's hand is always outstretched to others, welcoming, encouraging, and helping in any way she can. She wears a smile on her face and one on her heart. Ready with words of comfort, words of joy, or words of encouragement. Through her, the warmth of the Father and the light of His Word flows. There, I've seen Him.

I see Him everyday. He's there. Can you feel the touch of the Master in your life?
