WALLS
Tell me what are these walls all about
To keep feelings in and people out?
Running from life, the world, our past
Not realizing it's all an impossible task.
Everyone has baggage, struggles, and pain
That can sometimes drive us nearly insane.
We build the walls, keep it all inside
Instead of facing life, it's so much easier to hide.
Yes, it requires risk to open up and deal
But isn't it the only way to make your life real?
We'll never find peace behind some wall
We need a loving friend who'll stand up tall
And welcome us in, arms open wide
To listen, help deal with this poison inside.
Get it out in the open, fill our nightmares with light
Help us understand it, maybe give us clear sight.
For life is not always what we want it to be
But with friends and less walls , happier we'll be.
