This kitchen is filled with easy nummy recipes. I stress the easy part, as I have a tendency to light fires in my kitchen. My sister will not allow me to use the toaster any more because of this fact. If you have a recipe (which I'm sure you all do) send it to me and I'll put it up, and even try it then write about what disaster occured when I tried it.
"Marshmellow Squares"
WHAT IS NEEDED
1/4 cup butter/margarine
40 large marshmellows (or approximately 2/3 of the bag of mini marshmellows)
5 cups of cereal (It actually works with any cereal)
DIRECTIONS:
Get a pan and grease it.
Melt some butter over low (unless you really like brownish black bars (I discovered that too)) heat
Melt (while stirring) the marshmellows
Take it off the heat and then add the cereal and anything else you wish to add that might taste good (chocolate chips, m&ms, toffee chips, ect)
Put it in the previously greased pan and flatten with a buttered (yes, you have to do this too) flat object.
Cover with some sort of wrapping that will keep the air out.
WHO THESE ARE GOOD TO GIVE TO:
*College students
*me
*little kids
TOAST
Place the pieces of bread (any type of bread) into the toaster.
Check what setting the toaster is set on and adjust it according to your taste
If the toast pops up and is not done all the way, DO NOT put the toast in again and turn up the setting
If the toast gets stuck - do NOT stick any object into the toaster. Don't just think it's not okay to stick metal objects in the toaster, it's not okay to stick plastic into there either!
WHAT TO DO IF IT BURNS
If the toast burns you can either: A. scrape off the burnt layer or B. throw it away or C. feed it to any child who will eat it because he/she cannot make toast himself and is hungry
Try again - remember, practice makes perfect
HATTIE'S COMMENT ON TOASTERS:
I lit a fire in my toaster once! A raisin from a piece of raisin bread fell into the grate, and it's a 1940's model toaster (in other words, ought to have been in the dump a bazillion lightyears ago) and it caught flame and no one was home and I freaked and threw a glass of water in there.
