Echo Company Series (written as Zach Emerson) - This series takes place before The Road Home. These books focus on an army squad in Vietnam. Later in the series this army squad finds Rebecca (the protagonist of The Road Home) in the jungle. Though this series does come before The Road Home, you do not have to read this series to fully understand The Road Home.

Ellen Emerson White is a fast paced writer with well developed characters. Her take on the world is new and reviving. It is difficult to find many of her books, but if you can find them then I urge you to read them. Her writing style is unique, so if you do not enjoy one of her books, then you probably will not like her others. I absolutely adored The Road Home and All Emergencies Ring Super. Long Live the Queen was incredibly interesting because it dug into the criminal mind, but there were some extremely slow parts in the book.
