Feeling a little lonely or blue?
Encourage yourself in the Lord!!
David did! In the Old Testament, David was "greatly distressed" but he "encouraged himself in the Lord his God." (I Samuel 30:6) How can we encourage ourselves in the Lord? All it takes is belief!! In Isaiah 43, God says "Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." And in Hebrews, "for he hath said, I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE."
More than once I've quoted those verses to myself, and still I questioned, "I know these verses, but why don't I feel You, God?" The answer is unbelief! In Hebrews 6:18, His word says that it is "impossible for God to lie." Praise God! He promised us that he will never forsake us, and He cannot lie! Be encouraged today! Though you may not feel Him, He truly is there with you, just as He promised. Encourage yourself with these promises! May God bless you today and always!!
A Little Update
I haven't made many changes to my page in a while, besides adding new pics every now and then, but I'd like to share a little of what has been going on in my life. In February of 2001 I was diagnosed with a heart disease, Mitral Valve Prolapse. It is a heart disease that in most, causes no problems, but in my case, it is very painful. School Daze...
Three years down and one to go of my four-year nursing program at Thomas More College!! In one more year, I'll be a real live nurse!(Which is much much better than a real dead one) Since I'm talking about it, here's a little note: college is expensive!!! This is one of the most important holidays of the year. You know...Christmas!
This is the second most important holiday of the year. Most places don't recognize it as a National Holiday, yet, but soon they will, I'm sure. It's my birthday!! I'm a June baby! I'm giving you plenty of warning, so feel free to spend as much as you like! lol
