Anne Eliza Maddox was born in Bracken Co., KY. She was in the 1850 census of Bracken, age ten. She was identified as Eliza in that census (next to sister Elizabeth) and Ann when she married. When she was 25 years old, she married James Ingram Bonnar, a widower 34 years her senior, there in Pendleton Co., KY. I believe he was a judge at the time.
In 1865, Nancy Margaret was born, named after Anne Eliza's mother. Srah Halton was born in 1867, and Lizzie May in 1869. William Milton was born in 1871, named after Anne Eliza's father and brother. Mary Belle was born in 1873 and Evelyn Gertrude in 1876. She had many step-children too, one of which was a judge.
Her husband died in 1887 and she died a few months later on February 6, 1888. She lived her entire life in Bracken and adjoining Pendleton Co., KY. |
