Nancy Maddox
1867 ~ aft.1919
    Nancy Maddox was born in 1867 in Pendleton Co., KY.  Her full name was Nancy America.  She was named after her paternal grandmother, Nancy Brandenburg Maddox, and her maternal grandmother, Anna America Ducker.  They called her Nannie.

     In 1872, her father moved the family to Hamilton Co., IL.  While there, she met James Cook.  Interestingly, in 1881, Nancy's future father-in-law died, and his widow Mary quit-claimed 40 acres to Nancy's father, Sanford, for $1.  I wonder what the situation was.

Nancy and James Cook married around 1885.  Their children were Earl b.c. 1886, Ernie b.c. 188, Blanche b.c. 1890, and Arthur b.c. 1892.
