Greetings and salutations, my name is Camille-Carmenta, and I am one of the main 6 members of the FoxFyre Circle. We are an ecclecic Wicca/Witch/Pagan coven in central California. Specifically, we reside in Greenfield, but we have been been scattered to the Four Winds within the last year. Bear is in Napa, Candice is in Arizona, Sheli's in Modesto, Tiah is in Berkeley...the last two of us, myself and Gretta, are in our home village still...
We have worked together for 3 years, and are very close. The Term FoxFyre comes from the Book/Movie of the same name, but different spelling, of course. We each have adopted nick-names, based upon the characters that we most identified with, as well. If you've not seen it, I suggest you give it a try; Angelina Jolie is amazing as the lead grrl, "Legs".
We are always open to hearing from others and enjoy circling in different groups. Also, correspondence, via email and otherwise, is highly appreciated. We believe in shared learning and knowledge. None of us has had formal training, but we do hold that all can teach and have something to share with the rest of the group. Each Persons experience/opinion is vallid and useful.
Our "training/teaching" of others isn't an official thing/position. Usually, this is amongst ourselves, and it is the talking out of a situation, spell, etc, etc. We take what the others (including those outside that circle) say and see what works the best for us.
As for Sponsoring of large events, we can't exactly say that we've done that, though we are known to pull together large groups of our local contacts to circle, pray, feast and the like. An event that I myself am helping pull together, that is Pagan Friendly, is one that will be held at my J. College (Hartnell, Salinas, CA) this coming October. A club has been formed to help support it, as well...I'm VP, and it is known as SHUMA: Students for Humanities. We have a journal coming out soon, and a website (see Links page).

4-25-00 The SHUMA journal is out! yay!! candice will be home soon!! going out this weekend to network with other pagans...as well as to bond with shels since it's her twenty-teenth birthday!! got her a face painting kit! hee-hee!! bear is down, i finally get to officially meet her daughter! yayay! have been networking like a busy little bee lately!! yay for that! have also been in dire need of incense! eek!! time to make a run to 13~~yay for Santa Cruz!!! School's almost out...Ismana might have a job up at UCB..keeping my fingers crossed on that one. Tiah moves back up there soon...gretta moves out next week, the day before we go to the Cure!!! BB! |

6-19-00 Met another lady online, from San Francisco, who loves FOXFIRE!!! She's got a flame tattoo, too! she bonded with the character of LEGS the most...she was like, "did you get the tattoo yet???" oh my! that is soo awesome! i'm having so much fun! |

7-19-00 Tiah just got her tattoo...in the same place as Candice's & on Candice's b-day,...Creepy Gary is so awesome...we had to use myne to trace the tattoo! whoo-hoo!!! I've got the book now...i love it so much! it's eerie how well we correspond to the chars., etc...sheli had to work, so she's hoping to get hers when candice comes down for a week next month...which tiah will be gone during! grr...maybe we'll just drive to oregon...lol...that would be fun! got the grrls all these crazy orange scarves...just like in the book...gretta digs hers..."awhhyeah!!!" we're going to *hopefully* send this boy some cash to help start a wicca club on his college campus...things are going swimmingly!! I have a new tattoo idea, too! FoxFyre Circle Forever!!! |

8-4-00 so, haven't heard back from that kid...oh well. candice called last week...she should be here soon! whoohoo! uhm...sheli's doing well...bear is too, from what i've heard. grett's got a girlfriend...we're all very proud. need to give sheli the book...my new tatt idea is basically finished, i just have to refine it,...gary gave me a rough estimate of around 180-200 bucks...that's exactly about how i thought it would be, too...gretta wants to get something similar. i belong to a Yahoo Foxfire club now, too! whoooohooo! awwhyeah...things are good...ttfn! |

June 1, 2k3: Three years later and here we are...scattered to winds. Tiah is preparing to move to Florida...her 4 yrs. at CalBerk are up. I'm very happy for her,...she's looking fantastic, too. Her workout scheduale scares me, but only cuz i'm jealous! *winks* The Sheli lives with me, currently...we're in Salinas, with our current Male counterparts. Candice is baby bound...and living happily ever after in Texas. Gretta's workin' her life away, but having a good time>>she appears to have a new beau<<in Arizona, with her mom and grams. Gods know where Bear is,...i only hope that she is well. Chandra's married, happily, and living in San Luis Obispo, CA, as far as i am aware.
I've met other pagans/witches, etc,...things have never quite been able to click, unfortunately. Then again, i know i'm on the right track...just being slow about it! *winks* i need to have more faith and patience...lol! which is hard to do, but i'm only a beginner. I've been dabbling more and more in yoga...sheli's got this bellydancing kick. It's great...we've really regained closeness that we've not had in years. Perhaps we've grown up? *grins* |
