A New Day
Chapter 23
AJ collapsed on top of Howie, settling himself in his favourite position as Howie opened his big brown eyes and looked up at him.
"You okay?" AJ asked, needing to make sure.
"I'm more than okay." Howie replied. "That was incredible."
"I know." AJ smiled, before catching his lips in a gentle kiss. "It's not something to do all the time, but..."
"But every once in a while, it could be fun." Howie finished for him.
"Fuck yeah." AJ agreed, which made Howie grin.
"How in the hell?" AJ suddenly asked, curious as to how Howie ever came up with all this.
"I remembered something you told me about how you'd love to be tied up and teased."
AJ thought back, trying to remember when he had said that.
"Fuck Howie! I told you that years ago."
"I know." Howie replied. "I never forgot though. I never knew why, but it was just something I remembered. I guess subconsciously even back then I wanted to be the one to do it to you, but I didn't figure it out until much more recently."
"Shit." AJ replied. "I can't believe you remembered it. Even I'd forgotten ever mentioning it."
"Was it what you imagined?" Howie asked.
"More. Much more. I never felt anything like it before in my life. When did you get all this stuff?" A gestured to the silk ties that were still wrapped around the headboard.
Howie looked at him, a guilty look on his face. "This afternoon."
"But I thought you had a meeting?"
"I lied." Howie admitted. "After our little fun in the bathroom, I told you I owed you one, and I spent the rest of the meeting trying to come up with a creative way to repay you."
"Thought you looked a little distracted. And you thought of this?"
"Yeah. But I wanted it to be a surprise. I'm sorry."
"Don't be." AJ told him. "I can't believe you would do something like this for me. No-one's ever done anything like this before."
"That's because no-one has ever loved you like I do." Howie told him.
AJ felt his eyes tear up at that, knowing it was true. "I can't believe I ever doubted that." He whispered.
Howie reached up and wiped away his tears before speaking.
"I love you Alex. I love you more than anything else in the world, and I'm going to spend the rest of my life showing you."
AJ smiled through his tears, knowing that Howie was telling the truth, and Howie pulled him back down for another soft kiss. When it broke, they both yawned, before laughing softly.
"I guess we wore each other out." Howie said.
"Looks like it." AJ agreed. The two then snuggled down together, pulling the soft comforter over them, and settling down to sleep.
"I love you Howie." AJ whispered as he drifted off to sleep.
Howie smiled at this before drifting off as well.
