A New Day
Chapter 5
Howie glanced over at AJ, before trying to bring his attention back to Kevin, who was still talking. Normally Howie wouldn't have a problem with sitting in a meeting for hours, it was usually Nick and AJ who got restless first, but this morning Howe just couldn't concentrate. He felt his eyelids droop again and reached for the coffeepot. On top of everything else, Howie was dead tired.
He'd sat at home for a few hours, watching the waves crash against the shoreline outside his condo, before deciding he couldn't take it anymore. With that he'd grabbed a change of clothes and a few other things and thrown them into a bag. Then he'd grabbed his car keys and driven back to AJ's house. He'd parked his car a few streets away, not wanting Nick to spot it when he dropped AJ home, ad then he'd walked to AJ's and let himself in. One of the perks of being best friends, he already had a key.
Once inside Howie had wondered around for a little bit, tidying up a few things, before heading upstairs to AJ's bedroom. Once inside he'd dropped his bag and taken off his clothes before slipping in between the coolsilk sheets. He must've fallen asleep because the next thing he knew was when he felt a warm and equally naked body slip in beside him and pull him close.
Howie smiled at that. AJ had been surprised, but really happy to find him there, and had then proceeded to show him just how happy he was. Howie closed his eyes and willed the erection that had suddenly sprung up to go away. It was amazing how even the thought of AJ's naked body pressed up against his was enough to get him hard. 'Stop it.' he thought to himself as he realised he was doing it again. 'This is ridiculous.' He thought. 'I'm acting like a horny teenager.'
He opened his eyes again and looked up to find AJ looking at him, concerned. Howie smiled to reassure him, before allowing his smile to slip into a wicked grin that promised much more. AJ's eyes widened momentarily, surprised by the change in Howie's expression, before allowing his own wicked grin to appear. The two shared the secret look for a moment before bringing their attention back to Kevin, who was STILL talking.
Finally, about an hour later, they finally called a break. By now Nick was incredibly fidgety, almost unable to sit still any longer. Howie and AJ knew exactly how he felt, as they were feeling little better.
AJ bolted from the room, heading for the bathroom, and Howie got up to follow him, but was stopped by Nick. Howie recognised the look on Nick's face, and knew that Nick needed to talk about something. He sent a longing glance at the bathroom, before turning and steering Nick off into a corner to talk.
