AJ watched Brian and Nick with half-hooded eyes. Everything that had happened was finally catching up with him, and he suddenly felt dead tired. His entire body was relaxed following his orgasm, and he didn't think he would ever be able to move again.
He felt Howie's eyes on him, and managed to roll his head to the side to look at his lover. Howie watched him, an amused smile on his face. AJ reached out a hand, grabbing at one of Howie's. Howie took the hint and scooted closer, feeling his own exhaustion creeping up on him.
It was now nighttime, and the air was still and peaceful, reflecting the feelings of the four friends. AJ felt Howie press his lips against his and granted him access, surprised when Howie quickly pulled away. He opened his eyes long enough to watch Howie get up from the bed and leave the cabin, his naked body glowing in the moonlight.
AJ almost got up and followed him, but Howie turned in the doorway and looked back at him, smiling softly before wrinkling his nose a little and disappearing. AJ smiled, knowing that everything was okay. He had an idea where Howie was going, and knew he would be back soon.
Even as he thought this, Howie re-appeared in the doorway, carrying a warm cloth and a couple of towels. He knelt beside AJ on the bed, and softly, almost reverently, cleaned AJ of all the sweat and cum.
AJ smiled up at Howie, finally feeling content. He had long ago discovered that Howie hated to go to sleep dirty, and had become used to Howie getting up and heading for the bathroom when AJ just wanted to cuddle. Out of this had evolved this little ritual. Howie would get the cloths and towels and they would clean each other off before cuddling together and falling asleep in each other's arms.
The fact that Howie cared enough to continue this ritual, even after what they had done with Brian and Nick brought a smile to AJ's face. Somehow this small act seemed to solidify the feelings and emotions that were passing between the two of them, and eased any doubts that AJ may have had about his relationship with Howie, and how things might change after this whole thing was over.
Howie watched as AJ finished cleaning him off, lost in thought. He could somehow sense the emotions AJ was feeling, and watched as AJ leaned over and placed a kiss on his lips. When AJ pulled back, both men had smiles on their faces, knowing that everything was going to be fine.
