A Little Relief
Part 26
This time they helped each other up onto the main deck, where there was little risk of falling in. They stretched out on the deck in each other's arms, simply enjoying holding and kissing one another.
After an hour, they had both dried off, and could feel their skin beginning to burn and pull tight, as the salt water dried on their skin. Reluctantly they got up, and headed below deck, planning on saving water by sharing a shower before heading back to Brian and Nick to check on them.
Any plans to continue what they had started in the shower ended quickly as they saw how small it was, and so they had to make do with showering separately instead. As a result they were quickly finished, and pulled clean shorts on before heading back to where they had left Brian and Nick.
They stood outside the door for a moment, listening for any sounds, a little unsure as to whether or not to enter. All seemed silent, and the two looked at each other, trying to decide what was happening.
"You think they're okay?" AJ whispered.
Howie shrugged. "I don't know."
AJ looked at him as much as to say 'you're a lot of help,' before turning his attention back to the closed door.
"They must be in there, else we'd have seen them." Howie finally whispered.
"Yeah." AJ put his hand on the door handle, looking at Howie to make sure he agreed. Howie nodded and AJ silently cracked the door open a few inches.
He poked his head in and peered around the door to the bed, which was behind the door.
On the bed, Nick and Brian were fast asleep, wrapped tightly in each other's arms, still naked. The evening sun shone through the porthole, illuminating the pair and giving their hair a golden glow. They looked absolutely breathtaking.
AJ smiled at the sight, and then jumped as Howie pinched him. Howie was still behind him, and unable to see into the room. AJ ducked back out of the doorway and smiled at Howie, putting his finger to his lips to keep him quiet. Howie nodded and AJ opened the door wider, allowing them both room to enter.
Howie walked into the room behind AJ, and immediately saw what AJ had been smiling at. Nick had wrapped himself around Brian, holding him close even in his sleep. They looked so peaceful, and carefree, more like the young naive boys they had been when Howie had first met them.
AJ and Howie smiled at each other, and AJ grabbed Howie, pulling him close and wrapping his arms around Howie's waist from behind, kissing his shoulder before resting his chin there. The two simply stood there and watched the pair sleep, happy that their friends had finally found some solace.
