Questions Arise

AJ headed down the stairs for his lesson he stopped at the window and looked at the courtyard and field below. Nick was walking towards the forest with Kyree, Howie and Athos were walking hand in-hand from the Healer's ward 'I'll have to get the 411 on that from Howie later' he thought to himself. Brian and Kida were riding Mythos and Tela through the field. Kevin and Jakara...AJ frowned, Kevin and Jakara were in the courtyard, Kevin had apparently learned how to make fireballs and he was juggling them for Jakara. He turned away from the window and nearly smacked into Silence "oh, sorry Si...I didn't see you there" he said softly.
'It is alright Alex, no harm done. Are you alright? You seem...troubled' she asked frowning slightly.
"No. I'm alright. It's just...it's nothing really. So how is your lessons going with Nick?" AJ asked changing the subject.
'Fine, fine. Nick has learned just about all he can from me. His mindspeech abilities astound me even. I'm teaching him some simple spells now, cloaking, shielding and such' she replied shrugging. 'And yours?'
AJ shrugged "Stormwind is full of praise so I guess they are going well. He says I have learned all I can from him, now it's just making sure my learning sticks. He says I will grow in power with time."
'Great, that is wonderful, I must say I agree with the others when I say that we've never taught anyone who has learned as quickly as you 5 have. It is almost as if, you already knew this learning and you were just refreshing your memory' Silence said with a smile.
AJ nodded "Yeah, its almost like I knew this stuff" he looked out the window again, Jakara and Kevin were horsing around he had tackled her and was tickling her, he sighed longingly.
Silence went to the window 'Ahh...I see what your troubled about now' she told him.
AJ looked at her "And what is that?" he replied.
'Kevin spends all his time with Jakara. He barely has time for his friends anymore, or so it seems. He is getting close Jakara and naturally you are jealous'
"I'm not jealous" AJ protested feebly.
'It's alright to be jealous you know, its like she's steeling his friendship' she looked at him curiously 'or maybe it's a different type of jealously, you two weren't...you know...were you?'
AJ looked at her taken a back "Me and Kevin...like together me and Kevin?" he asked. She nodded "No. We have never been. I mean he's married... and I'm with Sarah, besides, Kevin would never see me like that" AJ said softly.
'How do you know that, Alex?'
"Look at him" he said pointing towards Kev and Jakara "they might as well just kiss and get it over with... instead of dancing around it like that" he said frowning again.
'Maybe it isn't what you think. Have you actually talked to him about it?' she asked, surprising herself even.
"No. I don't have to I know Kevin" AJ replied glancing over to the sundial in the courtyard "I have to go Silence. Stormwind is waiting for me" he said quickly as he ran down the stairs.
"Maybe you don't know him as well as you think" she said looking out the window at Kevin and Jakara. As she turned and walked down the stairs she muttered to herself "What in the name of the Star-Eyed One are you thinking? You're supposed to me making sure they aren't talking, not encouraging AJ to talk to him. Father isn't going to be pleased" she said softly walking out the main entrance and towards the field.
Howie got up from his sitting position on the floor, he'd tripped before he'd gotten to the stairs. "What was she talking about? I didn't think she could talk. Something isn't right here" he said walking up the stairs.
