Chapter 13
Meeting the trainers

"Are you sure he'll be alright Jakara?" Kevin asked following him with his eyes till he was out of sight.
"I'm positive" she said turning around and spotting two men and two women walking up to the fence. "Ahh...they have arrived" she said turning back to the guys.
"Who has arrived?" Nick asked looking at the four approaching them.
"Your trainers" she told him as they climbed over the fence. "That is Athos" she said pointing to a young man in his mid-twenties. He has blue-black hair, and silver green eyes. He was Kevin's height and solidly built. "He will be your trainer Howie" she said gesturing to him.
"Hello Howie, how art thee this afternoon?" Athos asked walking over to him.
Howie sized the man up with his eyes, he was absolutely gorgeous. "I'm quite well considering what has happened in the last 2 days or so" he replied smiling. "And yourself?" he asked in return.
Athos laughed softly "I am quite well now that I have a student again, especially one as eager to learn as thou seems" he replied.
'The fact that Howie is just as handsome as you means nothing right' Jakara added privately.
'Nothing at all your ladyship, nothing at all' he replied to her winking.
Jakara laughed and turned to the women on her left "This young thing here is Kida, she is a foreseer and a farseer and Brian she'll be your teacher."
Brian looked at the young lady who seemed barely out of her twenties. She had long flowing reddish-brown hair that ended slightly below her waist. Her eyes were a glowing amber color that Brian had never seen before in his life. "Your eyes are amazing" he said aloud not realizing he'd done so. She laughed and he blushed "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to speak aloud."
"That is quite alright deary, I thank you much for your complement too" she said grinning.
Jakara turned to Kevin "Well you already know I will be your teacher. As for you Nick" she said turning to him. "Your teacher is Silence here" she said pointing to a lady about Nick's age. She had chestnut hair that tumbled in curls a little ways past her shoulder. She had dark brown eyes to match her hair. She smiled at Nick and winked.
"Your name is Silence?" he asked curiously.
She nodded 'Yeah, I haven't actually spoken a word to anyone in years. I speak with my mind.'
'Oh I see...why don't you like to talk aloud?'
'Because when I was younger a fire damaged my throat and vocal cords and my voice is no higher than a whisper now' she replied looking down at the ground.
"Oh, I understand" Nick replied aloud giving her a smile and a wink when she looked back up at him.
"Where is the fifth you speak of?" the man next to Silence asked loudly. He was an older man, with streaks of grey tinting his ebony hair. He had shocking blue eyes and a stern face.
"Stormwind he took off a few moments before you all made your way to the field. He hasn't bonded yet and I think it got to him that the others had already. He took off for the opposite side of the field" Jakara said pointing towards the direction he'd taken off in.
"I see, well I will go after him and see if I can't talk to him" he said taking off across the field.
"Ok Stormy one" Jakara said shaking her head.
"He seems strict" Kevin noted.
"Not really, he is just grumpy today because he found more grey in his hair" Jakara said smothering a giggle. She cleared her throat and said loudly. "Now that we've all met and you got acquainted with your teachers lets split off and go through the basics of training."
As they all paired off and sat down to get comfortable Kevin looked off towards the direction Stormwind had taken after AJ "I'm worried about Alex" he sighed softly.
"Don't worry Kevin, Alex will be fine. He will have bonded by now I'm sure" she said gently.
