Big Things Come In Small Packages.

Part Twenty Six

By the time that they were ready to go to the arena Alexanderia had calm down. Howie and AJ tried talking to her to see what her nightmare was about. Hoping that since she called out for Howie that she would now talk but Alexanderia went back to not saying a word.

Getting Alexanderia out of the hotel was lot easier then getting her in; most of the fans outside and in the underground parking were gone. "Likely going to the arena just like them," thought AJ. Alexanderia would be in the first elevator with Mrs. Doubtfire and Joe their bus driver. But Mrs. Doubtfire thinks that he is a member of their security. The reason that they are using Joe is because Alexanderia knows Joe and seems a little comfortable around him. When AJ called Joe and asked, he was more then willing. The guys and the their security would be on the second elevator and they would meet Mrs. Doubtfire, Joe and Alexanderia at the vans.

Once they got there Alexanderia was already in her car seat. "Did everything go okay, Joe?" asked AJ.

"Everything went fine."

"I'm glad, Mrs. Doubtfire and Joe you two are going to ride with Kevin. Once we get to the arena I let you in on what else is going to happen" said AJ.

"Okay AJ, see you there" said Joe and he walked to Kevin's van. Mrs. Doubtfire didn't move "don't you think it would be better if I ride with Alexanderia?"

"No" said AJ. Mrs. Doubtfire was waiting on an explanation but AJ didn't give one. He got in the van and slammed the door in Mrs. Doubtfire's face.

"J, don't you think that was kind of rude?" asked Howie.

"Not at all, she deserves everything that she gets for treating Alexanderia this way." AJ turned his head to Alexanderia, to see her playing with the doll that Brian and Leighanne gave her.

During the drive to the arena AJ and Howie kept their eyes on Alexanderia to see if she was going to do anything but she didn't. The vans went to the underground parking, Kevin's van was already there and Joe and Mrs. Doubtfire were waiting for Howie and AJ's van. Howie was getting Alexanderia out of her car seat while AJ explain to Mrs. Doubtfire and Joe what would be happening.

"Okay, we are going to go inside then you two are going to follow behind us with Alexanderia. Then she is going to stay with us until the meet and greet. Then you guys will be already in the audience. Here are the tickets; you guys are front row centre. After the show get a cab and go back to the hotel and wait for us outside our room. Give Howie or me a call when you are in the cab on your way to the hotel. You two are free to do whatever you want until the meet and greet. But come five minutes early just in case. Are there any questions?"

Mrs. Doubtfire and Joe didn't say anything. "Good, I'll see you guys later." AJ walked over to Howie and Alexanderia and picked her up. Once they were in their room, relaxing AJ put Alexanderia down and he began to explain to her what was going to happen.

"Sweetie, you're going to stay here for a couple of hours backstage with us. Then Joe and Mrs. Doubtfire are going to come and get you; they are going to take you to watch the show. When the show is over they are going to take you back to the hotel and me and Papa are going to meet you there."

Alexanderia was surprised that she didn't have to spend that much time with Mrs. Doubtfire and when she does she is not alone. That made her happy. She was also excited to see the show; she only saw them during rehearsal. She wanted to see them do it with an arena full of people. Alexanderia put a smile on her face and hugged AJ. This surprise AJ but he took it as a good sign. AJ looked up at Howie and saw Howie smiling. Then he regretted being jealous of Howie and Alexanderia. Howie never seem jealous of him and Alexanderia, so why should he.

Mrs. Doubtfire walked around the arena; she wasn't in a happy mood. She didn't like AJ's new way of doing things at all. "What did the little brat tell him?" she thought to herself. "I'll find a way around that problem of that member of security following my every move with her. This is the first time that a parent has caught on so fast about the injuries. But I think because these people are actually interested in what their child does. But those feelings will soon go away when she's been around them more and they'll see how annoying she can get. These kids are not like my family, my children and grandchildren they know how to behave and take care of themselves and others. And look at my grandson Bret if it wasn't for him, that spoiled little brat of his' girlfriend's would be running around doing good knows what. I'm glad though, I taught him everything that he knows. But what the hell am I suppose to do for the next three hours. Oh AJ McLean is going to pay for this."

Alexanderia was laughing uncontrollably because Howie was tickling her. AJ was glad to hear her laugh. "What do they say that laughter is the best medicine well I hope that that's saying is true. Because that's what she needs right now" AJ thought to himself.

To Howie the three hours seem to go by fast and when Mrs. Doubtfire and Joe came to get Alexanderia, Howie didn't want to let her go. He had a strange feeling that something was going to happen to Alexanderia. He didn't know what, but he felt it in the pit of his stomach. When Alexanderia grabbed a hold of Howie's leg, he bend down and picked her up and hugged her to him, he felt for her because he didn't want her to go either. "I know sweetie, I don't want you to go either but Papa and Daddy have to meet the people before the show. You don't have to worry because you're going to be right in the front row. You will be able to see us and we will be able to see you, okay?"

Alexanderia nodded her head and gave Howie a hug. AJ walked over to them and took Alexanderia from Howie. "It's going to be okay, and you'll see that you'll have a lot of fun watching us. And before you'll know it the show will be over and you'll see us soon." The rest of the guys said bye to Alexanderia and AJ put her down on the ground. She walked very slowly towards Mrs. Doubtfire and Joe.

"Remember what we talked about earlier" AJ told Mrs. Doubtfire. Mrs. Doubtfire never got a chance to answer back because one of the members' of their management came in and told them that the fans we're ready for the meet and greet. AJ and Howie watched them leave and they had to let all their emotions that they had about Alexanderia going with Mrs. Doubtfire go with them, because the fans started to come in. It was hard for Howie to let the feeling go but he had to, especially when a very hyper thirteen-year-old gave him a hug and started jumping up and down.

Before Alexanderia, Mrs. Doubtfire and Joe took their seats Krystal stop them. "Hey Alexanderia, how you doing?" Krystal saw that she had a sad look on her face. "Don't be sad, you're going to have fun watching the show. Do you know what? I'm going to perform too." Alexanderia looked up at Krystal with a surprise look, one with her eyebrows raise and her mouth open.

"Yep, I sing and play the piano. I'm going to be out there in about thirty minutes. I'll be looking for you in the audience" and Krystal bends down and gave Alexanderia a hug. Alexanderia hugged back. "I got to go finish getting ready but don't worry I'll make sure you have some fun." Krystal gave Mrs. Doubtfire a dirty look and said a quick hi to Joe and went to finish getting dressed.

"Come on Alexanderia we have to go find our seats," said Mrs. Doubtfire pulling on Alexanderia's hand. Alexanderia was still watching Krystal walk into a room but she began to walk when Mrs. Doubtfire pulled on her hand again.

Joe led Mrs. Doubtfire and Alexanderia to their seats. Alexanderia kept looking around at all the people. She couldn't believe all the people that came to hear her Papa, Daddy and Uncles sing. She couldn't wait until the show started. She sat next to another girl who was a little older than she was. The girl next to her began to talk to her.

"Hi my name is Sophie."

Alexanderia waved to her.

"Ah, you must be shy. Who's your favourite?"

Alexanderia raised her eyebrows.

"I mean who is your favourite Backstreet Boy?"

Alexanderia gave the same look.

Sophie shook her head but continue talking to Alexanderia "my favourite is AJ because he gets really crazy on stage. This is my second concert. How many concerts have you been too?"

Alexanderia didn't do anything.

"Oh this is your first concert, well cool. You're going to have a good time. Is that your grandmother and grandfather that you're with?"

Alexandria shook her head violently no.

"Okay, okay I get the hint. I guess that she's your Nanny or something?"

Alexanderia nodded her head yes.

"I'm glad that you are giving me some kind of messages. How old are you? I'm eight."

Alexanderia put up four fingers.

"No wonder you are so shy, I was the same way when I was your age and look at me now. I'm here with my Aunt she is a big Howie fan. As I said AJ is my favourite but Howie is pretty cool too. Hey, that's a cool bear, what kind of bear is it?"

Alexanderia didn't say anything.

"Right you don't talk, oh the lights are going down that only can mean one thing that opening act is going to come on. It's Krystal, I heard that she's pretty good. Oh look there she is, she looks so beautiful."

Alexanderia looked up at the stage and saw Krystal come out. She thought that Krystal looked beautiful too. Krystal sat down at her piano and then said "How you doing LA?" The crowd cheered. "I want to sing you my song Super Girl and I want to dedicate it to all the Super Girls out in the audience and especially to my little friend who is a true Super Girl, my friend Alexanderia." Krystal began to play and sing "Sometimes I have dreams, picture myself flying, across the sky, high above the clouds, seeing the world on my magic piano, I am Super Girl and I'm here to save the world..."

Alexanderia couldn't believe that Krystal thought that she was a super girl. She never seen or heard Krystal perform before and she liked Krystal even more now. Alexanderia couldn't take her eyes off of Krystal. Having Krystal say her name on stage made her smile. Mrs. Doubtfire didn't like it one bit. She knew that Krystal was trying to give Alexanderia courage to tell on her. "You have to try better than that to complete with me little girl," Mrs. Doubtfire thought to herself.

Krystal left the stage and the arena was going crazy for her. The lights came back on and Alexanderia gave Sophie a scared look. "You don't have to be scared Alexanderia. The lights came back on because the guys won't be on stage for another thirty minutes and people are going to go get Krystal's autograph."

Sophie's aunt asked "Hey Sophie do you want to get Krystal's autograph."

"You sure, Aunt Maria" Sophie turned to Alexanderia "do you want to come with us?"

Alexanderia wasn't sure, she wanted to go see Krystal but really didn't want to ask Mrs. Doubtfire. Alexanderia didn't have to decide because Joe was listening to their conversation the whole time. "Come on Alexanderia I'll go with yeah." Alexanderia smiled up at Joe and they follow Maria and Sophie to go get Krystal's autograph.

Once in line Sophie began to talk again, Joe had a smile on his face watching Alexanderia interact with the talkative little girl. He thought that this little girl would be a good thing for Alexanderia because she was the complete opposite of Alexanderia. Maybe she will be able to learn that it is okay to act like this. Maria watch Alexanderia with interest, there was something about Alexanderia that reminded her of herself when she was that age. She could remember being really quiet and keeping to herself.

Krystal gave them her autograph and she hugged Sophie and Alexanderia but she whisper in Alexanderia's ear that she'd see her later, when they can spend more time together. Alexanderia smiled and gave Krystal a nod. They went back to their seats and prepared themselves for the Backstreet Boys to come on.

The guys came on stage and Alexanderia stood up along with everyone else. She was so surprise when they did it and couldn't believe that they were screaming for Papa, Daddy and Uncles. Howie and AJ looked for Alexanderia and when they saw her they waved to her. Alexanderia smiled and waved back. Alexanderia was happy she had never seen the concert before and she liked all the special effects that they used. She also liked when she saw them on the big screen.

Mrs. Doubtfire wasn't having a good time at all. She wanted to be in her hotel room with Alexanderia. She couldn't believe that her pay was now cut in half all because the little brat told on her. "Well she couldn't have told on me completely or else I could be fired. Well I won't give her the chance to say anything more. I'll make it crystal clear to her after the show that I will not take this and I mean business" she thought to herself.

The lights on the stage when off and the lights in the arena came on. Alexanderia was sad she wanted the concert to go on more. She had fun watching the guys on stage. Sophie turned to her "it was nice meeting you." Alexanderia gave her a smile and waved to her. Sophie's Aunt Maria said bye to Alexanderia as well and they headed out the row.

Mrs. Doubtfire took a hold of Alexanderia's hand and told Joe "Alexanderia has to go to the bathroom so I'm going to take her." Joe gave her a suspicious look "can't it wait until we arrive at the hotel. We should be heading there now, cause the traffic is going to be pretty bad."

"No it can not wait."

"Fine then, but I will be standing outside the bathroom."

The three of them headed to the bathroom. The bathrooms in the arena were in block off by a walk that led into them. Joe couldn't stand directly outside the bathroom because there wouldn't be that much space. Mrs. Doubtfire took Alexanderia's hand and they headed to the bathroom. In the bathroom there was a line up of people waiting for an empty stall. Mrs. Doubtfire took Alexanderia over to a corner.

"What the hell did you tell your father? Thought that I wasn't going to find out but you thought wrong little girl. I've been doing this for years and I'm not going to be outsmarted by a four year old. If you tell him anything more I'll make sure that you get more than a broken arm this time."

One of the bathroom stalls became free Mrs. Doubtfire pushed a lady out of the way and told Alexanderia to "stay there and don't you move a muscle." The woman was offended and was about to say something when Mrs. Doubtfire cut her off "sorry dear but when you get old your bladder is not that strong." With those words she closed the stall door.

Alexanderia knew that she couldn't stay there, so she decided that she was going to go backstage to find her Papa. She walks towards the door and stood on her tiptoes to open the door. Once she was outside of the bathroom she headed in the direction that she thought the backstage was. But as she walked she found out that she couldn't find it. Alexanderia wondered how far backstage was because she couldn't remember it being this far. Alexanderia holding Tender Heart to her chest.

"Tender Heart do you know where we are?" she whispers in his ear. "I can't remember it being this far. We had to leave cause Mrs. Doubtfire was going to do something to us again. We had to go find Papa because Papa said no one was going to hurt me again. But where are we? There are so many people."

Alexanderia turned the corner when she saw Sophie and her Aunt Maria. Sophie saw her and pulled on her Aunt's coat. "Aunt Maria, look it's that look girl that I was sitting next to. She's all alone, do you think that she's lost?"

"I don't know Sophie, let's go see," said Maria taking Sophie's hand and they headed towards Alexanderia.

"Hey little girl it's me Sophie."

Alexanderia looked up and was glad that she saw someone that she knew. "Are you lost?" ask Maria. Alexanderia nodded her head yes. "OK, what's your name sweetie?" Alexanderia didn't say anything; she just pulled Tender Heart closer to her. Maria bends down so that she was level with Alexanderia "I know that your parents probably told you never to talk to strangers. But sweetie it's important that we know your name, so we can help. So can you tell me your name." Alexanderia still didn't say anything. Maria was going to give up when she saw Alexanderia's teddy bear and it had a tag on it. Usually when kids have a favourite toy the parents would put the child's name on the tag. Maria reaches out her hand to look at the tag, while talking to Alexanderia. "You know what honey, that's okay if you don't want to tell me. We are going to take you to the security booth and because I'm sure that someone is looking for you."

Maria pulled the tag so she could see it and what it said surprised her "Howard Dorough." "Oh My God, who is this little girl" she thought to herself.
