The morning sunlight woke AJ up; he looked at the clock and saw that it was only five o'clock. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and got up. His muscles were sore from sleeping sitting up holding Alexanderia's hand but it was worth it. He looked at her face and saw that she didn't look like she was in pain. He was glad because he couldn't get that look out of his mind. Throughout the whole night he kept seeing her face. One thing he knew for sure he was going to have a talk with Mrs. Doubtfire whether she likes it or not. AJ knew he couldn't go back to sleep so he went to the kitchen area of the bus and got something to eat. After that he went to the front of the bus and talked to Jim.

"Good morning Jim."

"Good morning Mr. Mc ...AJ how is Alexanderia doing?"

"She's asleep now and she doesn't look like she is in pain."

"Good I'm glad, where is Mr. Do ...Howie?"

"He's still sleeping, I decided to let him sleep there is no need for both of us to be awake. I mean we all had a rough night."

Jim and AJ continue their conversation and two hours later Howie walked out of the room. He saw AJ and Jim talking and decided to go say good morning to them.

"Hey, good morning guys."

"Good morning Howie."

"Good morning D, how did you sleep?"

"As good as I could I guess. How long have you been up?"

"I don't know about a couple of hours but anyway how is Alexanderia?"

"Still sleeping which is a good things because if she was awake she would be in pain. Um, did you already eat?"

"Yeah, I made some toast."

"Oh okay, I'm going to make something for myself" said Howie looking uncomfortable.

AJ saw this and decided that he would go with Howie "I'll come with you" turning to Jim he said "talk to you later Jim."

"Of course."

"I'll talk to you later too Jim," said Howie.

"Okay, see talk to you two later."

AJ and Howie went to the kitchen area of the bus, AJ sat at the table and watched Howie try and make breakfast. Howie kept on dropping stuff. When Howie dropped the eggs on the floor he just lost it and broke down and cried.

AJ jumped up and ran over to Howie and pulled him into his arms.

"It's okay D, just let it all out, just let it all out."

"It's just that she is a little girl why are so many bad things happening to her."

"I know, I know but we just have to have faith that she is going to get better. I mean we see it, she is getting better. Remember how she was when she first came and now look at her. D, we just have to give her time and give ourselves time."

Howie pulled away from AJ and brush the tears from his face "I know, I sorry that I had my little break down." Howie gave a little laugh "you know what's funny usually it's me comforting you but now you're comforting me."

"Well, that's what married people do. We comfort each other," said AJ hugging Howie once again and placing a kiss on his forehead. "Now as much as I enjoy sitting in the middle of the kitchen I think that we should get up." AJ got up and helped Howie up. "Maybe you should go lay down in our bed, I really think that you need the rest. You're tired both mentally and physically."

"Okay but only if you come with me?"

"Yeah, go in and I'll be there in a minute."

Howie looked up at AJ not believing him "you promise a minute and if you don't I'm coming to get you. "

"I promise, I just want to clean up the eggs."

"Okay" and Howie walked out of the kitchen to the bedroom. AJ cleaned up the mess in the kitchen and went to the bedroom. He looked at Alexanderia to make sure she was okay before he crawled into bed and wrapped his arms around Howie. He wished in Howie's ear "you know I love you, I have always and always will?"

Howie turned so he was facing AJ "and I you" said Howie kissing AJ.

"Now that, that's all cleared up close your eyes and get some sleep, k?"

"K" and Howie closed his eyes and let the sleep take over his body. AJ was soon to follow.

Alexanderia woke up; she sat up and looked around her because she didn't know where she was at first. She thought that she had this bad dream that she hurt her arm and she had to go to the hospital. When she looked down at her arm she knew that it was true. She wanted her Papa and Daddy. She saw that they were in their bed so she got out of hers and crawled on to their bed and lay her head on Howie and places her right arm across Howie. Within minutes she was back to sleep.

Three hours later Jim pulled the bus over, he got a radio saying that they were going to stop for lunch. He got off the bus and saw Kevin walking towards him.

"Hey Jim, are Howie and AJ coming?"

"I don't know they were at the back of the bus and when that door is closed I don't open it."

Kevin gave a little laugh "I understand completely."

Jim smiled and continues to walk in the restaurant while Kevin went on to their bus. When he got to the bedroom he knocked and then opens the door. The sight in front of Kevin made him smile because they truly look like a family all curled up sleeping together. "It would be a shame to wake them up." Kevin walked over to AJ's side of the bed and said his name "J" AJ didn't move. "J" Kevin said a little be louder.

AJ sat up this time his movement caused Howie to wake up and move which caused Alexanderia to wake up too.

"Sorry guys I didn't mean to wake all of you guys up, we stopped to get something for lunch and we wanted to know if you guys wanted to come."

"Sure, why not. We'll be out in five minutes," said Howie. Howie's statement shocked AJ he was expecting Howie to stay on the bus because of the mini-breakdown that he had earlier in the kitchen.

"Is there a drug store near by, because we have to stopped and get Alexnaderia's medication?" said Howie.

"Yeah I think so but I'll see you guys in a five" and with those words Kevin left the three of them alone. AJ got up and he looked at Howie "are you sure that you want to go I mean I can always get our food and we can eat it on the bus."

Howie got up and walked over to AJ and put his hands on AJ's shoulders "I know I kind of lost it in the kitchen a couple of hours ago. But I'm find Babe, I can go out in public."

"Are you sure I just don't want you to have to deal with people unless you have too."

"They are not just people there our friends and they care about us. Now let's forget about it and let's go eat" said Howie placing a peck on AJ's lips. "Come on Alexanderia are you hungry?" asked Howie holding out his hand for her to take.

She nodded her head and took Howie's hand, which he then bent down and picks her up. "Okay, let's go, wait does your arm still hurt?"

Alexanderia nodded her head "after we finish eating we'll get your pills then it won't hurt anymore, k?" said Howie. Alexanderia nodded her head and they headed out the door to meet everyone for lunch.
