Scene 4 The Beach (cntd)
"I said you," she repeated
"But how can you say that? I mean we only met a few hours ago and you told me you'd been in Orlando for months" He wanted an answer that wasn't going to scare the hell out of him.
" Okay, look, I didn't move here hoping to meet you, or stalk you, or anything crazy like that... actually I figured the opposite was true. You were my inspiration and I knew that I had to get away from my hometown so I figured what the hell, Orlando worked for you. The fact that Disney World is not far from here didn't hurt much either though." She said all of this trying to judge his reaction. From the way his face was all twisted up, he was freaking out and trying hard not to show it.
" So let me see if I'm following you," he said after a endless silent minutes, "you're a fan? And you moved here because it worked for me? You have to know that sounds kinda crazy right?" He was trying hard to fight the urge to get up and run like hell. The only reason he hadn't so far was his desire to understand. She seemed so complex.
"I was at a turning point in my life. I knew once I finished school I was going to be faced with a decision about what came next. I wanted to start over in a new city where no one knew anything about me but I could still have a good time. I'd always wanted to go to Miami Beach but I knew if I moved there I'd be too busy partying to be serious about making my life mean something. I was just driving around one day when it hit me. Orlando seemed like a better bet. And so far it has been. I love it here despite my hang-ups about the sun. I have plenty of inspiration for my writing. I love my job, it makes me feel like I'm doing something worthwhile. I go out and meet new people and I feel so good about myself for a change. Can you imagine what it felt like to never be good enough? So if I'm crazy for wanting to be happy then I am one very happy crazy person." When she finished she started to get up, as if to walk away. He reached out to stop her.
" I'm sorry okay," he apologized feeling like a major ass, " I didn't mean to call you crazy. I was just taken off guard. I'm glad that you're happy here and I'm even happier we met. He was smiling again "You know, tonight turned out to be so much more than I expected. I've been in such a godawful mood since we got on the plane to come home. I'm just so tense, and I have no idea why. That's the thing, when I'm performing I'm in heaven I love it... I have no idea what to do with myself now."
Aadriana could not believe what she was hearing, no idea what to do with himself? Who was he kidding? She laughed at him, really laughed, so hard her body shook.
"Let me see if I get this straight," she said in between giggles, "you, 'Mr. Songwriter/produer/singer/dancer/night club owner' can't think of anything to do? I mean seriously, you can do whatever you damn well please." She looked over at him and instantly stopped laughing.
" It's more than just finding a way to occupy my time. I look at Brian and Kev, and I think why can't that be me? Anyday now Kevin will be bragging about his 3rd baby. And Brian has turned Leighanne into a baby machine. I guess what it boils down to is that I've reached a turning point too. It's just hard for me to decide what comes next . What amazes me is that you at 25, have figured out what I'm struggling with at 30. I've done just about everything I could have ever dreamed of doing. How did you manage to get it together so well? " He really wanted to hear her answer but, he couldn't seem to talk his "friend" into behaving. He hoped she hadn't noticed how he kept fidgeting. "Calm down man geez," he thought, "she's just a woman," but his "friend" was still standing at full attention . Somehow, she knew what he was thinking and decided not to answer.
She saw it in his eyes... they were done talking. Her thoughts took a slightly different route to the same destination.
" I wonder if I'll ever see him again," she thought, I know that if I don't I'm going to always wonder. I have so many regrets in my life already. Do I really want to add this; this once in a lifetime chance to the list.?"
"Hell No!" she said that part aloud, Howie was too lost in the struggle to control himself to notice. " I'm not going to make the first move, I know his type. He'll enjoy the hell out of it and then right me off as just another groupie later." She added silently, nodding to reaffirm her thoughts.
He put his hand on her shoulder and when she looked his way he grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her into a kiss. There was an instant rush of pleasure to all of their senses. She moaned deep in the back of her throat, a kind of cat like sound. He pulled her lower lip into his mouth and sucked, she responded in kind and the kiss deepened. Suddenly, he pulled back.
"What am I doing," he asked more to himself than her.
"I think we both know the answer to that and from what I can tell we both enjoyed it." He smiled at how breathless she sounded.
"We probably shouldn't be doing this, but I know if it's not cool with you you'll tell me soo.... I'm asking is this what you want?"
"Well," she sighed, " I don't know. I guess I just don't want anymore regrets."
"Okay, I can help with that one. I have this theory that the only things in life we regret are the things we had the chance to do and didn't." He raised a questioning eyebrow, grinned, and then continued, "I think you get my meaning."
In response she reached for his shirt and started to undo the buttons. His grin widened.
Nothing in her wildest dreams could have prepared her for this moment, her hands wouldn't stop shaking. Finally, he couldn't wait for her to finish fumbling with his belt; he did it himself. She leaned back to watch. When he was done he pulled her to her feet, kneeling in front of her he began to undress her. He was going very slowly, kissing each newly exposed area. She felt like her legs were going to give out, "Lord, please don't let me fall flat on my face," she thought. Rather than fall, she pushed him back on the blanket and straddled his waist; alternately licking and biting at his neck and chest. After she had left dozens of tiny bruises and bite marks, he pulled her up to him, covered her mouth with his and rolled until she was on her back.
"Last chance, if you're gonna back out, now would be the time."
She answered by tracing his lower lip with her tongue, then she winked. That was all the answer he needed. He reached between them to test her readiness and his fingers were greeted by the slick moisture that was the proof of her desire.
Slowly, almost hesitantly, he eased out his fingers and replaced them with the part of him that made their union complete. Once he was fully inside her, they both sighed at the intense pleasure the sensation produced.
Aadriana wrapped her arms around his neck and threaded her fingers through his hair. As he withdrew and returned forcefully, she rose to meet him. Their bodies were in perfect sync, he seemed to know when to go deeper, and when to pick up the pace. After only about 15 minutes she felt the burst of pleasure that signaled the end. He cried out at the sensation her muscles clenching and tightening around him produced. Not too many seconds later he was also lost. Her gasps and moans made his orgasm more intense.
He looked over and saw that tears were streaming down her cheeks. He kissed them away and made a mental note to ask her later why she cried. While they lay there, side by side, waiting for their breathing to return to normal, they watched the sun begin it's climb over the horizon.
Aadriana was the first to break the silence, " That was amazing"
" Yeah, completely breathtaking," he couldn't think of anything else to say. They dressed silently, both wondering if they had been referring to the sunrise or what had occurred between them.
" Why don't we go on up to the house? You can take a shower or whatever, while I fix us some breakfast." He made the suggestion hoping she'd say yes. "My omelets aren't as good as Kevin's but they aren't that bad..."
" I haven't tasted Kevin's so I'm sure whatever you put together will be fine. And a shower sounds heavenly. You were right, the sand is a major pain in the ass!" They laughed and finished dressing, then walked back up the beach.
